There is no past without memory and no future without anticipation. Both the past and the future are mental constructs. Ideas that we stitch onto the eternal present to fabricate the stream of the river of time. But its just the pond of the present with imaginary mind mirrors of memory and guesses stuck on each side. @@Information01_LevelUp Hi, I apologise for my late reply. What inspired the Lovecraft view? Life itself. We all perceive existence in different ways because of different interpretations. The "normal" way is like "Barbie" or the "Brady bunch" but I have seen myself and others as something more like a bi-valve mollusc with long spider-like appendeges (limbs). Or a worm tube thing with a mouth at one end and anus at the other eating other living things. Taking lots of drugs didn't help, but I saw things, from a different perspective. It was genuine terror at the time. The other part about time is from meditating, watching the present moment and the thoughts that come and go. I have never experienced the past or future that wasn't memory or speculation. Now is permanent but the objects flows because of entropy. Yes, when we stitch it all together we misjudge which part is changing. We actually see the objects morph into lower energy types but we imagine a flow of something else that we cannot see called time. Both the E-meter of Scientology and the famous chronometer called a clock, are HOAX instruments. A clock is not measuring time. It's not measuring anything! It's just a spring unwinding meaning it goes from high energy to lower. But we collectively say it does, so collectively it seems right. Just as money is collectively made real, or borders are considered "real" yet they never actually existed.
