This solves the mystery about where my AQ Rocket 44 cable is made. My "no frills" AQ Rocket 44 says "Audioquest USA" on it but I know some companies will play a game with this and still say "USA" while actually making the product in China. This video proves my cable is in fact made in the U.S.A. This gives me confidence that Audioquest is a company of honesty and integrity. I know my AQ Dragonfly is made in the U.S.A. as well.

I'm not sure the words "Honesty" and "Integrity" are accurate words for this company.

You know I can buy a watch for $30 or as most people do I can spend 2 or 3 hundred dollars. In that case the 200 watch gives exactly the same result as the $30 one, yet most people have more expensive models. I am the first to agree that there is a lot of marketing hype in these videos however with 10 grands worth of gear, I do everything I can to improve the sound. Got isolation rubber, spikes & 150 a metre speaker cable. I don’t buy anything unless I test it against the alternatives & when I plugged in my speaker cables I was immediately hit by low frequency feedback through the floor with my turntable, which I fixed with better vibration inslotion. I got improvements across all frequencies. There is no way I am going to use cheap cable, unless for some reason I get better performance from cheap wire. All these people who criticise others for spending money on speaker cables should be wearing $25 watches & drive base line cars otherwise they are just hypocritical. My system is complete , I love it & it’s my money I spent.

You gotta love audioquest, they can sell wires that cost like 20 bucks to make for thousands lol

... with a magnifying lens it's possible to check the direction on the small black wires ... it's printed there.

They should have not shown this video. A normal guy sitting at a desk using regular copper wire to make speaker cables. And then they charge $500 for 3 feet. Where is the special sauce?

So I am one of those "cables matter (at least to a degree)" people and I really have no bone to pick with the prices a company charges (people can buy the product or not). I have at least one Audioquest product in my living room, media room, office, and personal computer systems. Having said all of this, it's pretty damn funny that this company with all of their hype about precision, attention to detail, and appreciation for subtleties.... uses a piece of Pyle text equipment (presumably just for resistance/continuity) to determine that the cable was acceptably built! I'm an engineer, so I get that much of a cable's performance (assuming you buy into that) is based on the geometry of the conductors (assuming appreciable length) and that was determined in the bulk cable production process.... but Audioquest is really undermining their own marketing image (IMO) with this.

@@lorenzo42p It's not fine when you're paying £1000 or more for a set of cables. I expect them made against the breasts of virgin St Helenian mermaids for those prices FFS.

Well that should be a lesson to most audiophiles of how easy it is make their own cables. So how much would they charge for a Mogami 3104 speaker cable, terminated in the best banana plugs? Remember that the actual material and production of such cables, ammount to around 15%. Of the final price that we pay. That should be enough an incentive and satisfaction to make them ourselves.

🤔Can Anybody pls Explain what is AudioQuest is talking about SureGrip300 Beryllium copper vs SureGrip500 Purple Copper vs SureGrip1000 Red copper. What is AudioQuest trying to Say what the Difference!! Details Explain pls😥

I'd love to know how much that cable costs Audioquest per metre. If it was more than £10 I'd eat my hat. The margins on audio cable should be recognised as a crime; pure theft IMHO.

Decent cable but boy do the 300 series banana plugs have a serious material flaw and as a result leave a huge question over the price. The lack of metal thread sleeve for the grub on the side results in limited life span and high bad thread risk meaning the grub may not hold and may spin endlessly or deviate from the thread which leaves the cable fitting loose. That really sucks for price.

if we could only just buy the cable by itself for the correct price.id make myself up a 6 grand pair in about an hours time...

There is something to be said about a clean install though. If I had more money than brains and I saw a neat and clean install like this I would feel better about my decision to have a professional install my system. A tangle of frayed wires isn't going to cut it when you are charging a lot of money for the legless lubricant manufactured in those herpetological refineries called corporate marketing conference rooms.

NICE cables but there WAY OVERPRICED. You can get the same performance out of 10 gauge speaker cable that Monoprice sells or The Home Depot. I have a Peachtree Audio NOVA 300 with a set of Martin Logan Motion 40's and I'm here to tell you DON'T BELIEVE THERE MARKETING BULL SHIT. They charge OVER $400 for a set of cables that is worth NO MORE THAN $50. TRUST ME I'm NOT KIDDING YOU DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS CABLE. THERE RIPPING YOU OFF.
