Been and am there still but 50% less. I used to get so drained and the last thing I wanted to do is clean. Started with working with fun things like organizing art supplies. That seemed to help get the ball rolling for me. Not sad just overhwlemed right now. Happy cleaning and organizing to all fellow sufferers. One day at a time. 💛

Our homes are clean because we keep on top of it. It is less satisfying to clean an "already clean" home, but it prevents it from ever getting as dirty as this, and is actually less work.

Best way to stay motivated to clean through the week is to make your bed as soon as you get up, even if you’re just laying in it all day. My dad told me this and it actually helps!

A couple of suggestions. First, you should have included your daughter in cleaning her own room to teach her the importance of keeping it tidy. Second put a rug down in front of the back door where the dog comes in to help keep down on his tracking in dirt. You have very nice things I would think you would want to keep the house clean. Lastly, go through your clothes and donate a lot of stuff. You will feel better and it will cut down on the clutter.
