Timelapse video showing the transformation of a basement into a home cinema. This Art deco style home theater took about 4 weeks to install, but our time-lapse shows the whole process in just a few minutes. We think it's the best home cinema timelapse on youtube. We hope that this film will help with Art Deco home cinema ideas and provide inspiration on how to build a bespoke cinema room. The room has a 7:2:2 Dolby Atmos speaker configuration, with hidden speakers and acoustic treatments throughout. The 4K projector is a JVC- DLA-N5 with motorised zoom, focus and lens shift plus lens memories and a 2.35:1 acoustically transparent projection screen. Absolutely everything is controlled from an in wall touch screen and also from the client's iphone. This includes control of the fibre optic star ceiling from www.starscape.co.uk and the colour changing led strip lighting. The budget for a similar home theatre room transformation would be about $85000 US including design work, seats ,4K projector, Dolby Atmos sound , acoustic treatments and RGBW LED lighting. The interior design includes bespoke laser cut gold columns which house some of the speakers and also some of the acoustic treatments. The commentary on the film includes lots of detail about how and why certain design decisions were made and we hope it will provide inspiration to anyone wanting to build a Cinema or media room. The project took place in a stunning villa on the French Riviera - The finished home cinema room is about 6 metres from front to back and slightly over 4 metres wide. Seating was supplied by Home Cinema Modules.

Sydney Drums Very true ( for Australia ) but in the case of our project, for us France is a different country with a different language. We are un-familiar with the local suppliers of materials and local manufacturers etc so we had to make sure that we took with us more or less everything which would be needed and a lot of it was bespoke. And was custom made in advance. We made one journey there with a van and everything needed to be on that van. If we had had to make a 2nd trip with the van that would have had a major impact on timescale and project costs So logistically it was a much bigger challenge than our usual projects in the U.K.

Thanks, we are stuck at home with lots of fairly modest projects on hold. Hope you are well too. We don't currently have anything in progress which would make a good film, but once we have something which is suitable we will certainly record it. Please feel free to share a link to this one if you liked it . I have to admit we were hoping it's views would take off faster than they have, as it's better than some of our other films which have been viewed a lot more. :-)

@@Ukhomecinemas Totally understood. I really think your business is going to see huge growth soon, with many people looking to create superior home environments going forward. It might not be dedicated theaters, but really nice home entertainment spaces. I have shared the video link. I checked and you have really nice tags for it. I would suggest adding some hashtags in your description (you can add up to three). #HomeTheater #DolbyAtmos and maybe the currently highly promoted #MoviesTogether, maybe? While you're stuck at home, you can be active on your Channel's "Community" tab, posting questions, pictures, short videos, and polls ("Which is your favorite home theater video of ours?") to stay active with your >35k subs who, like me, are anxiously looking for content to interact with while we're all secluded. Or do a KZbin live event (announce it ahead of time in your community tab) where you talk about different gear and take questions from the viewers - I'm always interested in different projectors, processors, the speakers you use, how to build and install the fabric walls to hide speakers and acoustical treatment, etc. I always say, people don't do business with you for two reasons: 1). People don't know you. 2). People don't remember you. Live-streaming, community chat, etc. will definitely help you with #2 for all those subscribed to your channel. And using hashtags, normal tags, catchy title, and eye-grabbing thumbnails will help with #1. Thanks for your reply. Best wishes to you and much success once all this is behind us. Remember: #YouGotThis

Outstanding!!! I really enjoy these time-lapse installations...especially when you narrator. Please continue sharing these. Questions: What is the width of the screen (not diagonal)? What is the distance from the screen to the front of the first row of chairs? I'd really appreciate understanding how you attach those fabric panels to the walls. *Thanks* !
@Ukhomecinemas
@Ukhomecinemas 4 жыл бұрын
Thanks for your feedback and questions. The width of the image area of the screen is 3353 mm the distance from the eyes of a person in the front row to the screen would be about 3157mm The way the fabric panels are held in place is as follows: We used mouldings at the top and bottom of each wall like skirting boards. These were battened away from the walls And the panels fitted into the spaces behind the mouldings so the panels can be lifted out for maintenance. The mouldings hold them in place. Hope that makes sense.

Thanks Scott. We catered to add 2 more side surround speakers in the future , so that each row of seating may eventually have its own pair of side surround speakers. We also have the possibility of adding more height channels at the same time. So it may eventually be 9.2.4. These things usually have to be balanced against budget and it’s often possible to have some more budget later.

Again don't understand your client decision spending cerca 65k and placing NX5, in this family lineup there a must be NX9 with Premium lenses from Z1 JVC projector absolutely a must, its like preparing your racing car for the race series and placing there absolutely standard engine not tuned and not optimized. For this class of cinema rooms there must be one of the best projectors to be installed, ofcourse ideally if the money is not an issue a Dolbie Christie Eclipse projector would be a BIG WIN WIN WIN.

Going for the top line equipment day one means no rework later on. Most AV enthusiasts start small and build up and feel that is most of the joy of that hobby but for people who want everything done on day one and don't want to touch it again are going to pay that premium up front rather than over many years spent tinkering and building up to the best set of equipment
