In France, there's a singer, his name is Jean-Jacques Goldman, he made a song called "Je marche seul" ("I walk alone"), and I also did a video of his first steps to illustrate that wonderful moment, a shorter one of course, but I could not have found a better song to illustrate that moment. I show this video at the start of the school year, to show my students that it takes time and if they fall down or make mistakes, it's ok, they have to crawl ( or not walk) before they learn how to walk...I teach high school geometry to students with mild learning disabilities.

my daughter is 13 months now and has not begun walking. she can stand for a long period of time and can walk fine with either me or my wife holding her hand but she just cant walk. she crawls everywhere really fast though
