Excellent Family Project, Fresh Air, Exercise, and a load of very useful Firewood. My wife and I do the same here on the West Coast of Van. Island in BC. In the winter months our Wood Stove keeps our Home Warm and also Dry, which is critical here on the Wet Coast.

What wood you burn?

@@KimballCody We consider Douglas Fir to burn the best, but we will burn everything from Hemlock, Spruce, Balsam, and even Alder. Many folks in this area prefer to burn yellow cedar, which is plentiful, and does burn hot, but unfortunately burns fast. Doug Fir burns hot and long, and Yew wood, if we can find it, burns like coal.
