Great job. What did you fit inside the soakaway? I've only ever just filled them with aggregate but was wondering what was inside the black plastic?
@tidybrickslandscaping4 жыл бұрын
I left the soakaway void empty and encased it in a permeable material (weed barrier) then 10mm clean chipping around the soakaway with a concrete tid. You should watch the 3years video I explain it same job. 👍🏴

Yes, it came up next on youtube. Good too see you putting the doubters criticisms explained. Good to see the armchair experts put right. Also, there was maybe a couple little repairs to be done. A credit to you that you highlighted them in your video. Real life honesty. But you repaired them in your own time. Well done. Keep up the good work.

Did they use a mortar bed fir the paver? I.dont see how just gravel and rock can be a base under the pavers. Seems like after a good rain the pavers will start shifting.....
@tidybrickslandscaping Жыл бұрын
No mortar for the bed just stone dust or grano. With about 250mm of hardcore locked in 👍🏴

Fantastic quality of work, but a pointless, expensive, downgrade. They lost a garage and their front garden so they could drive to the front door - how do they turn up there?

Beautiful work. this aint apprentices slopping it on quick for a cheap price thats for sure, this is one of those few builds that happen 5 years before the "old guy" moves into the office.

Alternatively, would have installed retention wall to prevent house foundations from moving in future; constructed a road level double garage with elevator to house level and a front garden over the top.

well, working in construction is hard. you need to take breaks. Try waking up 5am every morning, lifting stone all day while walking about 30.000 steps a day before heading home to do rest of the days agenda FIVE times a week.
