I just found mine today buried away with a bunch of old stuff. It's actually pretty cool. O remember back in the day as a kid this thing was sweet especially the camera.

I had one of these things as a kid and I absolutely loved the crap out of it! So much nostalgia in this vid. Blockbuster, gameboy advance, radioshack. This took me way back, thanks!

The sound thing with the CPU does the same thing on the Game boy camera with low batteries where the mario dancing is showing.

I doubt it uses a hard drive of any size. It would be flash memory for that time period. Most likely it is a lack of shielding causing the speaker to receive feedback

My brother used to have one of those when he was like 6 years old or so. Being just 4 years old myself, I obviously couldn't read anything the device had to display, but the camera function was pretty cool back then. Unfortunately, it broke at some point, and we ended up discarding it. Either way, this was probably part of what sparked my fascination in those organizer types of devices.

I remember Vtech, I had a Talking Lesson One and a Pre Computer 1000 Junior when I was very young, I don't remember if any other people who watch this video will remember either of those products, they're both somewhat simillar to the Speak & Spell, but can do more.
