Greatest ( I even feel reluctant to call them a ´band` ) sounds ever assembled by a couple of human beings . Might sound pompous but that is what it is to me , this is far from being ´music ` only ... so rich in conveying ideas, concepts - the references which open a window to so many equally enriching worlds . I met band members, too. Gentle and funny guys. What the most listeners or "new fans" maybe not know, that COIL were more than Peter Christopherson and Geoff Rushton. There were even other members who brought particularly important sounds and impulses. For this album Drew McDowell was the guy who bring this dronesound with Moog- synthesizers. He did rare live gigs of Time Machines in last few years.

A thousand years from now, this will be celebrated. it will never be listened to in terms of millions of listeners but there will be a group of people, much more than there is now, who are wholly wrapped around the Coil. It is a pagan rite of passage already, this, Moonsmilk, Constant Shallowness, Black Light District, Astral Disaster, The Remote Viewer and the two Musick to Play in the Dark - Coil's 'Moon Phase' will never die out.
