Hi Mo! I began my journey with LTC this week and let me say it looks like it can be a lot! I’ve been in orientation all week and next week I’ll hit the floor. I am staff there to gain experience and then I will have an agency position on the side. I didn’t want to be thrown to the wolves first so I think this was the best decision. Do you have a video showing what all you have in your work bag? I would really like to see that. Thanks

I’ve been an LVN for three years. I’ve tried multiple ways of time management. My shift usually goes well, then like the last two hours all hell breaks loose😩 then I’m stuck at work for another two hours. Cus then I have to constantly stop.

You will have days like that. Do you mind if I ask what type of incidents do you see happening the most at the end of your shift?

@@Smalldosesofmo I work night shift. I overlap with the CNAs. Because they work 10-6 and I work 11-7. So when the morning aides get here, I still have another hour left in my shift. they’re getting residents up so I get skin tears. The increase in noise makes some resident who can’t walk feel like they can…. Which leads to falls, etc. Just my luck I guess.

@@blueberrydumpling9206 I would keep my fall risk patients up front with me or you can do more rounds on the fall risk patients.

I'm about to binge watch all your videos. Do you ever feel 100% ready to be an agency nurse?

Thank you for the love ❤️ I’ve been an agency nurse for a while now in the beginning I was a little nervous but you’ll find out most places are the same

Thanks for the tips. Much appreciated fellow nurse. I used to be Staff Nurse at LTC. But I’m starting Agency at two Assisted Living Facilities soon. These tips are clutch. Much love and respect. Place your faith trust in Jesus as God and for forgiveness of sins we all need. God bless you.
