Both of those songs are OK, but they're very soft 60's pop rock, in the mold of the Beatles, the DC5, Freddie & the Dreamers, etc. But Time if the Season is a unique offering from this band and from this era. Very much ahead of its time and pretty much any other time!

I am 64 years old and this is perhaps my favourite song of all time. I took my son to see the Zombies live about 12 years ago and when the lead singer Colin Blunstone came on stage he gave me a sideways (as if to say, what the hell are you taking me to) look as Mr. Blunstone was a very old looking dude. However, he was blown away by the concert and I have seen them again since where they performed the entire album Odessey and Oracle (including Time of the Season) from beginning to end in album order. Congratulations to you young dudes for recognizing amazing music for what it is!

A modest suggestion for a listen: "Dance to the Music" by Sly and the Family Stone. Also, "Everyday People" and "Thank You (Falettinme Be Mice Elf Agin)" from the same group. The late 60s was a magical time. So much great music that turned out to be far more timeless than we could have dared to believe at the time.
