I pondered on what he said and became very much aware of the "noise" we have in our lives. Beautiful! That region in Italy is amazing. I spent 7 months living there in the Liguria region and it is my absolute favorite region in Italy! I just can't get enough of that seaside. Portofino is nice, but pretty expensive and there is a certain prestige to it. I lived in Genoa and I loved it because the location made it so easy to travel to all those cute seaside towns.

That's awesome Louis - so glad you experienced that enlightening moment that you shared. It's a huge part of why we regularly trek off-the-grid, far away from cell phone reception for weeks at a time. People tend to go through a little withdrawal on days 2 or 3... but then you begin to find a natural rhythm by day 3 or 4, and you find yourself thinking more clearly than you can ever remember. It's a fantastic way to regain perspective on what's most important in your life... but you have to experience it first hand to fully appreciate just how therapeutic it is. You're always welcome my friend :)

I know this is a delayed comment but just FYI, 695 Euro is about 790 USD. We have to constantly do that conversion as Americans living in Florence. Just don’t want to scare off Americans from visiting European countries that use the Euro.
