Wow, this video offers a bit of everything, wasn't expecting to see so much of Cambridge University but very happily enjoyed it. Really spectacular countryside and varied lanes, really lovely on such a sun-filled day, gorgeous bird photography, the poppies were my favourite, thank you for sharing! :)

Stumbled across this video, grew up in Harston and used to fish at haunting mill when the chemical factory was there, unbelievably there were fish in there lol, the local call it ‘hayse lingfield’ , great video brings back some great memories! Played many a game of football on that recreation field, and many a pint had in the little rose, once stood a shack near the main road also called the little rose! The village sign depicts queen Elizabeth 1st, rumour has it she stayed at the manor there and lost her ring there, it’s never been found 😮love and miss that part of the country

Pleasure! Thanks for the feedback; funnily enough, to me at least, this video is currently the most popular one I have filmed. Surprises me as other videos contain better views and are less urban, but that's just my humble; must be the cachet of the word 'Cambridge' that people search for...

Very glad I found this tonight, Lovely scenery, pleasant narration, not too chatty :) I'll be checking out all your walks and subscribing! Im homebound/disabled and these type videos mean more than you could know! Thanks for posting your walk!!

Just discovered your great video walks whilst browsing through KZbin and have thoroughly enjoyed this virtual walk. I miss England a lot, having to live elsewhere and get back as often as I can when I always try to do a walk or two. Looking forward to working my way through all your videos in the dreary January days, a real spirit lifter! Thanks for posting!

Thank you for your videos!! They are amazing - love your commentary. Saw Julia Bradbury's "Walks with a view" - on ITV this evening - and it made me think! Not as good and informative as yours!!! The authenticity of your routes and down to earth documenting is so satisfying. Beautiful shots :)

+Hen9207 Thanks for that! I also watched Bradbury earlier, and previously (High Cup Nick is definitely one of my favourite views, though from the Pennine Way approach), and thought what a great way to earn a living... I've also noted an increase in the number of people posting walk videos on KZbin since I started so there's definitely a 'market' for these ;-)

+amib hahah - yes all I saw was her backside walking three more steps every new frame! So fixated with the panning aerial helicopter shots - we didn't get any nature soundtrack to the routes. Had to be like that for primetime HD TV, I suppose!

Youre welcome :) Im sorry to hear about your situation but you are doing a great thing for yourself & others. If you havent already discovered them, scenic webcams are great too. I love to travel all over the world by webcam ;) & videos such as yours. I have a couple of net friends from across the pond, one in London, one near Exeter whom has posted many photos of walks in the beautiful country side there. Being homebound is a different life but can be diverse & interesting via the web Best 2 U!

Thanks! Interesting comment that as I'm contemplating applying for work in the Far East, such is the dire situation here currently; then, I recall how I missed England when I was last there, so, given that I don't have to go, it's a whim, I'll dwell on that thought and consult the 'I-Ching'...that'll point me in the right direction. Where are you currently?
@amib12 жыл бұрын
Thanks for that Sandra; yours is one of a number of reasons why I film them. As I mentioned to a similar comment on another video, I don't expect it will be too long before I'm housebound, so I'm doing as many walks as I can whilst I'm still able and recording them for future reference. I also like to spread the word about the beauty of some pockets of SE England and to encourage others to 'get out there'...

Oops! Did I say that I would check that out upon my return home? Probably, knowing me...can't remember where it was in the film now either, can you?

Brilliant video Amib, lovely day for it mate. What camera are you videoing this with, I am looking for a new camcorder, my dslr is too heavy to carry about all day.

Believe it, or not, I'm still using my 13 year old Panasonic HDC-SD60! Used in this video. It needs updating though, mainly for the wind blocking, and I aim to get the Panasonic HC-VX1 4K. I'll still record in HD, though I'll have the option. That should then see me out of my walking days! Thanks for watching again😉👍

@@amib Wow thats incredible mate, that Panasonic has stood the test of time. I was only looking at a review regarding the Panasonic HC-VX1 only yesterday, but being a pensioner, a bit too expensive for my budget mate, but looks a nice little camera. Though your HDC-SD60 still capture some nice clear footage Amib. I’m Just part way through the second part of your walk around Jersey, AGAIN 😄 love those videos mate, they were very informative and well put together.
@amib Жыл бұрын
@@Soulfinder-HS Yes, it appears to be a good replacement for what I already have. As you say, a tad pricey though! Thanks for having another watch of Jersey; glad you enjoyed it!😉👍

Thanks Zayn. Not sure I understand your question, but I rarely walk in towns, if that's what you mean? This walk happened to have an urban ending, which is why I included that part. ;-)
