I find it disturbing about the fact Sonic icon doesn't change but his voice change. Tails realize that isn't the real sonic (his ears went down) but the second the transformation hit and finally the beast decides to fully show this man Tails knew "Ah s--t..." I can imagine two endings, 75% accuracy or under and tails trips on a rock, falling backwards into lord x. Ultimately ending with tails dead. or 76% accuracy or above and tail hops over the rock, and jumps again into a giant ring, avoiding lord x and his old fate of death.

Another thing I imagine is in normal green hill, tails is chasing sonic. when Sonics voice changes, the scenery is full of the dead animals, then when it cuts to green hill/angel island being on fire, tails is now RUNNING from sonic, who became lord x.

I think it’s cool but also horrifying how lord x this time has only very slight changes in his second phase his voice only going a little deeper and his quills get a bit darker, but I thought about how easily tails could not notice this if they were running together and went to the part of green hill where lord x killed the animals and his quills would become darker with the sky and his voice would have a more serious tone.

The good news is this song doesn't last about 10 minutes. Otherwise, Time Over wouldn't just be a clever title for this game. For those who don't know, early Sonic games, as well as Sonic Mania, have a 10-minute time limit.
