Great video but a sad reminder of days gone by. Unfortunately when community spirit died so did the local pub. It's happened all over the country.

The death of local pubs is a mixture of smoking ban, drink driving ban, the cost of alcohol in pubs compared to supermarkets, we don’t socialise like we did say twenty years ago and certain areas have changed , if there’s no houses around these pubs, there’s nobody to go in them, I also remember work men going in the pub on there dinner breaks , health and safety stopped that. The last one is, if the community around them changes to a none drinking race, goodbye pub!

I'll tell you what killed the great British pub and it's not the no smoking and no driving. It's the price.When I first starting boozing buying a round of beer was no big pain in the wallet. A bottle of Tetley's Family ale in the off licence was one and six same price as a pint in the pub.Now it's 4 quid! I don't want a 30 pound night out and nobody talks to me anyway in the pub.

That is one sad video I hate seeing pubs in this sorry state one of my regulars has recently closed The Travelers in Stanningley. Thank god the Great Northern round the corner from it is going strong. Thanks for posting.
