Thanks for bring the youth along! As a hunter for over 60 years and raised by a hunter that is the only way to keep our sport alive!

I absolutely love these episodes especially when you get a boy and his dad to enjoy time well spent together, plus Randy seems like the best host/person/guide to have leading the way. Thank You everyone.

That old cook stove reminds me of the hunting coffee pot that we have hunted with for over 60 years and just seeing it brings back memories

Thank you for letting him bring the boy any opportunity to get our kids involved and to experience a great hunt we need to be open armed . God bless happy new year .

I have hunted that unit several times over the years and always enjoy it and nearly always successful. I’m too old to climb those mountains anymore so hunt horseback and can get back in where few go. This year we tipped one over just before dark about 10 miles from the truck. Had a beautiful moonlit ride out! 😊

Did you tell them the chili story 😅. I hunted Pecos Wilderness 30 years ago, rode in 10 miles on a mule. Walked up withing 20 yards of a full curl bighorn sheep at timberline laying on an elk trail. I fed some young rams crackers out of my hand above timberline. Didn't get my bull elk, but sure saw a dandy.

Man I used to drive from South Carolina to Lakota and Minot, ND to hunt waterfowl. Drive straight through. Horrible to think ab now but back when I was 21-30 years old couldn't stop me. Plan to start hunting out west for big game in the next year or so. Hopefully.

Been hunting all my life in the Midwest (Indiana/ Ohio) for small game and whitetail deer. Went elk hunting in Wyoming with a friend and it quickly became my passion. I still hunt deer, but I live to elk hunt in the Rockies. I've gone to Wy or Colorado every year since 1998 and I look forward to it every single year. We are about 30 hours from camp too and always drive the first 24-28 hrs straight through. We like to stay in a small town in Wy before heading to camp in Colorado. It all becomes part of the memories, and each year is different even though it is the same route and general plan. Point is, make it happen. You will not regret it.

Randy's replacement in a few years? My daughter shot her first Columbia Black tail when she was 9. Start them young, it's the best way.

Does mystery ranch sell the spotting scope case? If so where do you find it on their website. Just got a new leupold spotting scope and want a good way to store and haul it.

For the camera guys, I can understand, but what’s the big deal with the GIANT packs the hunters are wearing to go scouting?
@Fresh_Tracks3 жыл бұрын
Food, water, extra clothes, optics, tripods. Pretty soon your pack is full, even when scouting.
@tommyhunter18173 жыл бұрын
@@Fresh_Tracks Onviously I haven’t been on a true western hunt since the 80’s. Course we weren’t making videos of our hunts either….. Sure glad you’re willing to put forth all that effort. Hope your mom is doing okay.

Most gas stations in little rock are 2.63-2.65 per gallon regular unleaded and along the interstate is 2.69 per gallon. So I'd say y'all folk's out there in NM are getting gouged!
