Evan, That's a nice trailer but that bearing race at 5:05, shouldn't just fall into the hub like that. It might be a good idea to take it back apart, clean and red loctite that race back into the drum/hub. Try some heat on the rest of the lugs so they don't snap off and use Never-Seize when putting back on. Just some suggestions, thumbs up always !!

Many years I worked on trailers much like yours. standard every year I would pull all wheels lube bearings & verify the brakes work. Wiring anytime I saw junked up wiring I'd Pullit all out and run New loom in & learned threw the years to solder all connections & heat shrink every connection. Note In frame I'd weld 1/4 in bolts and use them with conduit holders with wing nuts & spray all the set up with white grease to cut corrosion under the frame where they were. It pays off in time & money in the long run. I saw you doing the trailer jack, I have had to do many too & oh the memories it brought to me. On all that equipment, that gold never seize is your BEST FRIEND! Happy times bud!

That is a nice trailer. As you said good for all kinds of cartage. If I may suggest, from experience I would find a piece of Alum Checker plate to half moon it over the front where it is smashed in. 1/4 " bolts and nuts to hold it on. Touch up paint to the wheel rims. little black touch up too. You have the lights working. Good insurance to make things nice so when the DOT boys are driving around looking for crap running on the road, they will not zone onto your trailer Good vid thx for posing it.

JudithB That trailer has been beat to death nearly, but you can repair and paint it so it will last many more years! Does it have a brake unit on it??? Brakes on the trailer can sure make towing large animals less nail biting and saves the brakes on your truck too! You would need the brake controller installed in your truck.

@@CountryViewAcres you'll do fine evan, check the timing on the baler, needles aren't bent and the knotters are sharp, first few bails always seem to break the strings ,as the bails go through it it gets shined up and works great,im sorry they stole that from you this year, smell of fresh cut hay, bailin your own ground, even the barn smells great ,best thing about farming making hay,i'm an old man now but 4 yrs ago i put up 750 square bails by myself, i painted up all my stuff ,it looked brand new ,lots of stuff on youtube about tuning up a bailer ,great channel to follow

I'm working on my Goose neck horse trailer right now. It's been sitting up for several years, and none of my outside lights are working.. i don't even know where to start.. several of my light covers and bulbs are broken/ missing, due to a friend's bored horse chewing on them. I'll try to replace them first, then IDK where to go from there..

I'm sure that you will do an excellent job on the trailer as you have done on previous projects. Honestly, I can't see any reason why you would need hay right now with all of that grass and weeds I'm seeing. You're good for another month with the few goats you have. Take a rubber hammer 🔨 and beat the dents out from the inside.

@@CountryViewAcres I know that's the truth. I've gotten really lucky this year and somehow managed to get permission to hunt 27 acres in St. Louis county where there isn't much pressure on the deer and they are over crowded. I'm hoping for a good season! Good luck with your blind and your trailer.
