I know what you mean about the mulch pile. It takes 16 yards for all our landscaping. I don't do it every year, way too much work.

Hi Russ. Funny, you mentioned your ears and immediately an ad came up for hearing aids! lol. Nice to see you riding. Oh, the endless mulch pile. We actually by ours by bags. We do not have much area to mulch.

I am surprised you moved all that mulch with your knee. I had 3 yards delivered last year and moved it myself over the course of several days. We moved one car out of the garage and left one in. Two years previous, I bought 5 yards. Too much! Sadly, a lot of it has already rotted/eroded away.i bought an Xnito helmet with a black Friday deal. It doesn't have MIPS, but meets some European standard. Funny thing is I had trouble with charging it. It didn't have a light indicating it was charging and the manual didn't explain it, it turned out to be the cable. Xnito did offer to replace the lights when I contacted them, but I ended up solving it.The trouble cable charges other devices, so go figure.

Hey Russ ! I just love my Commuter bike. I've been riding at least ten miles a day lately and built up so much endurance that I ride a lot of the time with no pedal asaist.

My chiropractor rides and we got to talking about our e-bikes recently. We both agreed if we get out biking even for just a little while we feel better. Your rides are much less populated than mine. I know Chicago is a bigger city but our paths are used by many people. One encounters all types of other people on a variety of different things. Pedestrians, e-scooters (which zip right by me) unicycles, e-boards, bladers, and bikes. Speed is not essential to my pleasure rides. I did 19 miles on Sunday but it’s been cold and windy since. NW wind coming from Canada. Brrr.🥶

Luckily I am in the Northwest Suburbs of Chicago so we have less population issues here than in the heart of the city. 😊

Yay! Good to see you back on the road again Russ. i nearly ran into an Engwe fat tyre bike, on a narrow bridge section over a hump back bridge over a river, he hit his brakes same time as me , we both stopped short of each other thanks to us both having hydraulic brakes, small skids, no harm done was a nice exchange at that time of the morning, we both had front lights but because of the humpback bridge we did not see each other till we both crested pretty much the same time, imagine if we both had normal lever brakes we would of collided for sure, so yeah hydraulic brakes are good.

The Russ Is Right Landscaping Services has done its last project! That was a large pile of mulch! Being in our mid 60's is now time to hire out these projects🤣unless you want to overdose on Motrin. I'll commend you and Mrs.Right! After maintaining mature landscaping for 40+ years, I now hire out for all that physical labor, and I'm ok with that. Great to see you out on the ebike and get some rest Russ!

I'm an all new eBike owner and for some reason your presentations and commentaries on eBikes agrees with me. I find drawn to your KZbin videos. I have a nagging concern. With fire hazards and fire reports I hear about eBikes batteries, I would greatly appreciate your views on the care, usage and preventative maintenance of these eBike batteries. How concerned should we all be with battery dangers? Cheers - Bruce

Most fires seem to happen during the charging of them. But in general, keep the batteries dry and cool. I don't leave them in a hot garage. Too cold of course is not good either. Don't let the battery get all the way down to 0%. I would try to keep it to no less than 20%. I charge after at least 30 mins or one hour after riding. Best to let the battery rest a bit before charging. The batteries will be hot after a ride, so charging right away isn't a smart thing to do. But don't neglect charging after riding a while. Many people try not to charge more than 80% max, if they don't plan to ride for a while later. Keeping a battery charged at 100% and not using it for weeks is not a good idea. Finally, when charging, be sure you are around to monitor it. Don't plug it in and leave the house and not keep an eye on it. When the charger reaches the green light, unplug immediately. Overcharging is a good way to start the fires. Don't trust the charger to automatically shut off after it turns green. That's basically it. :)

X-24 is a BEAST. Folding it makes little sense. I am a bit nervous with that battery / seat post. Impacts, squeezing it with the quick release etc. I actually like X-24 more than the X-26. That's one is a Beast-Max, but you have to unplug the seat post battery and connect the frame one manually. They dont run together.
@RussIsRight
@RussIsRight 4 ай бұрын
This X24 runs both batteries together. No need to unplug anything. Old versions of the larger bike required it but not these new versions.
@BlairAir

@@RussIsRight I saw that somewhere. Major improvement, plus the 24" wheels bring tge size down a bit. Still not for under 5-'5" people though. I agree in the Folding, not practical, but allows a frame battery. It folds but not really, and has a seat that passengers can't sit on, lol 😆

I don't understand how the rear suspension of the bike works. It has 2 conventional rear shocks, which makes sense, but what does the shock above the cranks do? Could you show a video of how the rear suspension flexes?
@RussIsRight
@RussIsRight 4 ай бұрын
The spring have a screw mechanism that tightens or loosens the spring tension for less or more suspension.
