I would have to agree with you. I love myshire farms. I bought 25 eggs, and they sent 30. Put my finger through 1 when I was taking them out of the foam so I incubated 29. I got 24 to hatch. 86%.

i was wondering if the hens do lay in winter with artificial light would the eggs be fertile and survive before collected

G'day Chris, I just wanted to let you know that you and Zach have got me started. I have a modified baby cot as a brood/coop. I have a bakers dozen and they'll be 6 weeks this coming Saturday. I started to hear calls yesterday and I have just seen one going for the rumpy pumpy... I think I need to build a coop... really soon. Is it normal for them to get this enthusiastic... like a 16 year old boy at a school dance? They have all grown well and I've not lost a single one. I'm in the land down under, roos (Kangaroos) Koala's and wombats... in the North East sub tropics. Days around the mid 80F and nights in the mid 60F. Thanks for the vids mate BushRanger Red

I love raising quail, but something is happening that I can’t quite figure out yet. I seem to get diarrhea after eating the eggs? Have you heard of anyone having this problem?

I have two week old babies too. I'm getting a lot of eggs now from my adults now, I was surprised to get some to hatch. Do your roos start to fight before you can process them?

My quail are running around their large cage 13 of them like they are crazy. What is that about do you know?

Would you say they toilet on the cage floor more than in the sand I'm having issues with poop disposal so just trying to reduce weight in the bin thanks Chris

How do you keep all the males from fighting?

Keep themmin their own pen out of sight of any females will help.

Increase your number of females to males, if it's all boys keep there space I darkness around 14hrs a day take them out of breeding mode, keep them separate or add lots of sight blocks and hides
