What a great harvest, I loved watching you pick everything. I’ve only been able to pick a Striped Roma so far but I noticed today some of my cherries are starting to turn 😊

Your not alone ! My tomatoes are the same. I think the birds watch for when I remove the shade cloth and then they attack! I have a lot of herbs and lettuce that I use everyday. I'm not wasting water and time on things that don't grow easy! Your garden is looking good. I find the heat is very difficult to keep plants alive. Your passionfruit is incredible, would it grow on a brick wall that gets full sun?

I much prefer things that grow easily too! What % shade cloth do you use? Are you also in Melbourne? The passionfruit gets full sun for most of the day in its current location against the brick wall (west-northwesterly aspect).

I use a white thin mesh cloth to stop the butterflies and birds but I need to keep the morning sun to help ripen the tomatoes. I have some chilli plants too that do well. I am in Melbourne in Ashburton. I am caring for my elderly mother. The backyard is getting too big for her and we get the hot afternoon sun that makes it hard to grow more. I am also growing some native plants to save water and Mediterranean plants. I like watching your videos as they are very helpful. @@the.bee.friendly.gardener
