This week will be our last Episode in Western Australia!
We decided to check out Lake Argyle, which is famous for it's infinity pool at the caravan park. It was something we wanted to tick off the list, but when we got there, we were blown away by how amazing this place actually is.
Lake Argyle is the biggest man made lake in Australia with a dam wall about 90m above the current water levels. The area has a lot to offer (and not just the infinity pool).
On our first night there, we decided to do a walk to the bluff to watch the sunset. We didn't wanna be in the crowded pool when we could have the lookout to ourselves. It was roughly a 2.5km walk and pretty easy. The scenery is stunning and when golden hour hits, the light is amazing. The lake and surroundings look beautiful and we were so glad we did that walk!
We started walking back in the dark, using head torches, when Patrick saw a brown colored snake on the path! Luckily we saw it early but for these scenarios, we ALWAYS carry our snake bite kit from Survival First Aid with us! It is so important to be prepared because every minute counts! If you are not kitted out yet and you wanna get yourself some first aid kits, which literally save lives, feel free to use our 10% discount code PATANDJELE to save yourself some money.
The following day we went for a walk to the dam wall and decided to bake sourdough bread while we're plugged in. We also had the aircon cranking 24/7 since it was a nice 40 degrees Celsius outside :D
At some point, we managed to have to infinity pool almost all to ourselves (TIP: It's around check-out time ;)) and took some of the famous shots! :P
There was one more thing we had to do before leaving this beautiful area, the Sunset Magic Cruise by Lake Argyle Cruises. Our friends suggested doing it and we have to say, we absolutely loved it! We usually don't spend money on things like that but it was so worth it! We saw heaps of wildlife, the water was so flat and looked like a giant mirror, we went for swims and cliff jumps, got some drinks while relaxing in the water (included in the ticket price!) and learned a lot from the local tour guide. This was the perfect end to our Western Australia trip. We LOVE Western Australia and we will hopefully be back one day.
Since there is so much more to see and explore, it was time to do Moggy's FIRST border crossing!
See you in the NT!!!!

@@PatandJele OOooppppsss My Bad...It look so familiar...Apologies. Ah yes I can see the distinctive crown design. I'm not sure why I didn't spot it before. I too have a Citizen ProMaster with Depth gauge. Funny you should reply with this post today as I actually had it out to charge it up in the sun. So I love that brand too. I have 4 'divers', each a different brand.

Hi any chance of getting an update on the Ogo? How’s it holding up on the bad roads?
@PatandJele
@PatandJele 8 ай бұрын
We will be doing a review of everything in our truck in the coming months. The OGO has held up well, the only thing that happed was the plastic attachment to the agitator (where the motor locks in) stripped out, but OGO sent us out 2 replacements within a week. It was our fault for holding the button to agitate when everything was getting a bit full and solid and we haven't needed the second replacement since.

@@PatandJele thanks. As the bucket is “open “ have you had any of the contents “jump” out on bad corrugated or bumpy roads?
@PatandJele
@PatandJele 8 ай бұрын
@@zekesteggall2176 actually not. The ride in the back is pretty smooth compared to the cab so the corrugations etc. aren't as bad. The bucket is usually not that full either. It it was the adjutator wouldn't be able to mix it anymore🤣🙈

Just curious! why are you driving with the high temp light on?
@PatandJele
@PatandJele 8 ай бұрын
The temperature warning is adjustable and oftentimes set very low from the ADF (around 85C). Furthermore when our DC-DC charger draws heaps of current it drops the voltage which changes the resistance on the gauge, causing it to come on even earlier. We have an engine guard on the engine block and one on the gearbox, as well as temperature sensors on all the portals and diffs. The OM 352 can easily run at 100C, and the hottest we have gotten was 102C on a 43C day in the Kimberly. I would get worried if it heads towards the 115 to 120 mark.
