All great things must come to an end. Before saying goodbye to this legendary rat rod I had to make sure I passed it off in mint condition. Join me while I put together Industrial Injection's Cummins motor before letting this legend go.

My wife and I had a chance to see this truck a few years ago when we where in Vegas. Super cool unit. My great uncle had a ton and a half 1949 Diamond T. My dad inherited it and fixed the old Hercules engine. But didn’t do anything past that. I now own it and would love to do something like you did with yours maybe even use it on the farm.

Hi again Steve Chris here from MCC , i took your advice and did not give up , i found a 1949 D5500 Fargo on a app here in Ontario Canada... yes it isn't the first gen i was planning but it has a more cool factor especially the price is right $1800 canadian and frame has been done comes with two motors and trans. So my thought is sell the two mills and take profit to buy a 12 valve and couple with a eaton fuller 13 speed which with the 2 speed rear end i should have infinite hauler abilities....thanks for the swift kick in the ass brother!!!!

When you build something, it becomes a part of you and you form a attachment to them. I to had that with a 95 ford one ton dually that I cumminized it. To start with, it saved my ass in a shit hole mine that I was working and would of froze to death had it not crawled out of the Denali mountain range with a whole summers work and snow came about two weeks early and my greedy ass stayed cause I thought it would dust me and leave. Instead when I left, it took two days digging to get out of ten feet of snow an ice and it was so bad that other GI trucks were setting up from leaving a week earlier. I had built it so damn strong that I didn't think it would ever stop in a hard haul... basically it never did let me down and I built that truck back up to new and had my 350 frame built more like a 450 setup with the nine foot aluminum bed, alcolas all the way round, paint and polish, chrome, gooseneck trailer setup which I pulled a thirty foot trailer on. King Ranch interior and just name it candy. When I got hurt and couldn't get in it any more, I was all pissed off and traded it when mad.... long and short never forgave myself. I know how tight you are with family and building stuff with them even though you had to push an motivate them to do the right things. I kinda thought that you would fight city hall to park it up on the place even if it didn't run or some damn thing, it would stay as yard art if need be. California has got the world thinking to go electric. Some of their county rules blow my hat off like the no hood up or only certain tools allowed to own... its communistic in my head... no need to go off here, and make a book of bullcrap

The new owner is a lucky man of such and iconic vehicle. a relative of mine is know for having a 2000s Mercedes sprinter engine in his 1960s Thames trader truck a similar size to your diamond T. My dad told me a story of a family funeral back in the eirlyer 70s this perticly cousin rocked up in a 1972 ford Cortana estate with perkins diesel truck engine in before motor maufaters ever put diesel in a car. I think Perkins and Cummins has similar designs elems under different model names iam shore someone hear can correct me on that if it wrong. I think i what been going on right now i need KZbinrs help to tell the right person iam stuck in a hospital and my friend and family hav no ideas whats going on
