A rat rod diesel smokestack spectacle, he calls it "The Duke" - a rolling manifestation of Duke's larger-than-life personality. Cruising through Tucson on dually mud terrains with a Dana 70 rear end, the bagged 1930 Ford Model A rat rod, with its commanding 1993 first gen Cummins 12-valve diesel, dual whistling compound turbos, boisterous train horn and imposing stacked front exhaust, gets attention where ever it goes. Nicole meets up with Dustin Duke to discover the nuances of the 47RH transmission with its Kilduff shifter first-hand, and breaks the tires loose on a desert road.

What a badass build!! There's a lot of blood, sweat, and tears in that metal. A lot of heart and soul, too. I think I must have laughed for 10 minutes straight when he got her with the train horn the first time, though. Whew!! Seriously, though, thanks for taking a "detour" through this man's garage to see the fabulous mechanical monstrosity he's given life to. Made me smile a lot watching you drive it. I think there's a reason rat rods get hold of people, especially those who dedicate themselves to bringing one into the world. They're very personal. Each one has something to say. In a world that's often too plastic and shiny, this one is brutally beautiful. Bravo to you both!!

Thank you for the video. This is the best car, work ethic & determination story ever. I bet the best part of this car is the look of fright from all the people as they run for their lives to move out of the way, separating the sea of electric vehicle traffic like Moses at the red sea, allowing the diesel dukes of the world to be free as the moto gods intended, sparks and all. I'd love to see a fuel release switch so when you drop it to spark, it leaves a trail of fire behind like the superhero you are. Even if you blow up it would probably worth the sheer joy. I just watched the video...I purchased a 1928 Oldsmobile F28 2dr sedan 14 years ago with the same intentions you had ..Friends and I installed a '74 Chevy truck 350/350 turbo..Dana 44 rearend from a '61 Studebaker truck..Dropped 4" Bell front axle..and incorporating surgical instruments throughout... Casket handles for rear "skid bars"..Tall WWW on rear,.."pie crusts" on front '56 Chevy wheels with 3" " port a walls" mounted on inner side.... But life happens, other projects..Im 64 and hoping to get my '28 Olds on the road soon .YOU..revitalized my vision for getting it done..

You did it again young lady. That one looks like fun. Saw the rough brazing and it took me back half a century. Chopped my first top with a torch and brazing rod and old coat hangers. I have a couple of horns like that I'm putting in my '66 Plymouth. They sure do get your attention.🤣 Really enjoyed this one. Thanks
