Hey Sal! I feel like some people get sucked into the internet hype about getting rich investing in silver and then sell out after they realize that they've been lied to. While it is technically possible...that is not the purpose of stacking physical silver at all. For anyone who wants to understand the real purpose, look up the price in Canadian dollars, or any other currency that's on shaky ground right now. It holds it's value while fiat currency crumbles. Unlike stocks and bonds, it can never become worthless. I appreciate that you stick with the truth, even though you could get more subscribers by playing "the game". Love your content!

I read an interesting little fact about the very first batch of Morgan Silver Dollars struck for 1878. The silver for the coins was paid for with physical gold coins, or bars. They didn't pay for the silver with paper money because even back in 1878 physical gold traded at a premium to the face value in paper money. Even back in 1878 the paper money had begun to loose it's buying power.

@CoralTheWitch2023 completely up to you... sunshine, Canadian, Perth, Germania, UK, mexico... Almost all US mint coins have a heavy premium today and generally do not have numismatic value that will ever compensate for that premium unless you happen to get a rare coin. What I'm trying to tell you is that if you're stacking silver, currency coins are generally a bad idea and that it would be better just to collect medals and bullion bars. If you're interested in Numismatic value you have to be very careful about premiums, rarity and collect ability. Morgan's and other old coins might see a collapse in value as boomers die off if subsequent generations are not as interested in the new collect ability of them. Hope you know what I mean... Another example might be Star wars mandalorian coins and if current generations are interested in them long term... perhaps they have a big premium new but never retain it in the long run.

As soon as you buy the ounce of silver you are going to get less for it at your LCS but if you have a buyer lined up you can make some money if it's a higher perium piece but as soon as you buy it its yours to study and enjoy

If stacking for wealth preservations, save up and keep to minimum 10oz bars for the best price/oz ratio. For example, 10 oz Heraeus Silver Cast Bar is $31/oz, but 1oz Britannia are $32 per oz and Silver Eagles are $34 per oz. There seem to be minimal differences between 100oz and 1000oz bars, so I would supposed the largest bar one should get would be 100oz ($30.60/oz), considering liquidity if there is any intention of selling off.

Silver is the most shorted commodity on the comex. There is a reason why, and that is because it is the most heavily used precious metal in advanced electronics, solar, batteries, and 10,000 other uses along with the military industrial complex and any space based programs. The big banks have had 40+ years to accumulate as much as they can on dirt cheap prices, being it's just a by-product of other mining. Currently, it is only coming out of the ground 7 to 8 ounces to 1 ounce of gold. Eventually, the numbers will catch up to the comex, and the lbma and the gig will be up. Everyone be patient.

Actually just today I sold/trade 2 10 oz. bars plus a little cash to one of the coin shops i deal with for 2 1/10th gold eagles, did the same thing a couple of weeks ago. Made $4 per oz. on the bars from when i bought them a year or so ago. I ask him if his silver sales were down, he said no, sells still normal.

Why would you 'preserve your wealth'rather than try to grow it first? You can compound your cash in investments and crypto, then take the profits that literally outperform metals every time and buy gold to protect it. It blows my mind people don't understand this. You lose 10% in 'premiums' on physical metals when you buy, and lose 10% on 'premiums' under spot when you sell. Also what's the nonsense about not caring about the price in metals? Silver has no real value. I bought 1000 ounces of silver at the beginning of COVID-19. Now I can't even sell it. My local coins shop pay dirtcheap and they don't even care to negotiate. $25/oz. I made barely anything. May be 5K but I have to pay at least $2000 in tax for capital gain. It's not constitutional silver. It's considered commodity and not money. Don't buy silver. That's 5 years investment of $20K. If I bought S&P500 at that time, when covid hit, I could have doubled the money easy. And If I were a bit smarter, I would open a Roth IRA and use that to trade, I don't have to think about tax anymore. It's a learning experience but that wasted 5 years of my life to learn something. It's pain.

I was able to pay off my home, max out my 401k, 401K catch up, and the Roth prior to ever purchasing my 1st oz of silver. The returns on these lost 16% in 2022, gained it back in 2023 and finished at 10.5% this year. Therefore 3.5% per year average. The PMs purchased during this time outpaced that average.
