SixPackAbs.com you are talking about time under tension but you re doing the reps pretty fast definitely not 6 sec per rep... you were doing more like 1 sec per rep. why is that?

Thomas, you are honestly THE best thing to ever happen to this channel in my opinion. I've been following this channel when it was Six Pack Shortcuts with Mike Chang, but even when it as his channel and when the new guys took over I never really put a lot of investment in this channel. I've learned a few things here and there but nothing that made me want to come back and watch as many videos as I can. As someone who is getting into a serious workout routine and someone who is studying molecular cell biology to be a researcher, I appreciate you so much for actually backing up everything you teach with the actual science! I haven't seen any other fitness channel do what you do, so I am excited to get your program and I am looking forward to being a student of yours!

I have been doing intermittent fasting for over two months now and manage to lose 15 pounds. Along with a heavy work schedule and keeping up with my college classes. The funny thing is I used these tips and methods before I even watched this video or knew about this guy. I still plan to intermittent fast and utilize his tips and methods.

I had a good workout today. I walked around hilly woods for an hour, and then climbed a tree with my stand. Then I sat for 3 hours very still. Then I climbed down, and had a nice 1/4 mile walk with weighted pack, slightly up hill, back to the car. I know it was a good workout because I’m tired.

You got it dude. Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine / Neuromusculoskeletal Medicine focuses on how the body's musculoskeletal moves as controlled by the nervous system and it focuses on lymphatic and fascial systems along with the vascular, so connecting that with optimizing the hormonal systems for metabolism is right on.

I used to run cross country in high school. I ate like a horse. We ran as much as 5 to 8 miles daily for training. When I started, after football season, I weighed 170 and was muscled up fairly well. At the end of cross country I weighed 156. I didn't have a whole lot of fat to loose so I lost muscle. However, that's what the body does when you run continuously. It sheds weigh regardless of what the weight is, fat or muscle. That's why you never see fat track runners. You lean up when you run. We never called it cardio, rather, we called it hard work. If you want to put on muscle...lift. Don't run a whole lot. I only ran about a mile a day back when I was a serious lifter.

Instead of paying huge amounts of $ at the gym, this program and martial arts (Silk Road style - time under tension). Seems to work for me, every week I notice results that my body is getting into shape, quick and the brain is getting more plasticity to learn new things in a productive way! Cheers for the wake up/change of lifestyle :-)

Anyone has thoughts on swimming as a form of cardio? I have been swimming for years and when people talk about cardio I feel swimming is a bit apart. While I usually have one session per week long distance slow pace, my other sessions are a lot more hybrid with either intervals or full on sprints built in them+taxing work like butterfly/medley. Sure you can do such sessions on the bike and run, but one it seem to be less common, and 2 i believe bike and run may not be “as full body” as swimming 3 swimming is 4 times more varied with butterfly back/breast/frestyle strokes. Long story short I am trying to understand if swimming applies to the cardio advice given in this video. Any advice welcome thanks!

Cardio increases blood flow, not break down muscle, it breaks down body fat, and by increasing blood flow, it increases muscle gains.

I don't mean to nitpick, but lymph goes directly into the subclavian veins and from there to the heart, not the liver. The liver receives blood from the digestive system and from the thoracic aorta. Nevertheless, I couldn't agree more that the lymph flow that results from full body exercise is bound to be more healthy than isolated upper body or lower body workouts.

Hey Tom you brought up a great point on how excessive cardio during a fast will burn muscle I’m 6’3 156.8kg most of your videos really resonated and peaked my interest and many more are implemented in my complex and to find out that you come from having a similar framework lumberjack o line man size big bodied struck a home run because you were about my size and my questions are what is excessive cardio? What is excessive in general terms for people with your old my current frame and body size? And how does excessive cardio break the muscle down? @Andy616956 жыл бұрын
Don't run to much, I mean you can run, but you gotta make sure, you took enough protein. If your trying to build muscle and you go run, and you didn't fuel your body, with protein, you will lose muscle, or ruin your workout.
