I rented a 3.3L Dynasty in 1991 and took it on a 3000 mile trip across the country. It cruised effortlessly at 90-100 mph for hours.

It’s always a bit SHOCKING when you sit in a car from this era when they actually used COLOR in automotive interiors…….😮
@Rosteg2406
@Rosteg2406 11 ай бұрын
now colors are reserved for extremely expensive luxury cars, definitely no chances of seeing a middle class car with a colored interior, just boring black

@@JDMHaze Yes. The only problem it ever had was when I had to replace the radiator. Everything else was tires, brakes - standard wear stuff. etc. It did start having paint and fake wood trim issues after it was about 9 years old. Other than that, it was great.

@@randyjohnson1483 i count radiator as maintenance, Normally Chrysler products have crap quality, so I was curious my mom's friend had this car for a very long time when I was a kid and we never knew her to have issues

JDM Haze, I’m so glad you mentioned that about maintenance. So many people will knock an automobile about putting brakes and tires on a vehicle or having to buy a battery. These are maintenance items! They will have to be replaced on ANY vehicle. I saw a post the other day about what a great car they had, it was running great at 400 thousand miles. Later on in the video you find out it’s on its third engine and second transmissions, lol, oh goodness, that’s why KZbin is so entertaining!

My first car I bought with my own money at 16. This thing was so comfortable and never felt a pothole. So smooth like riding on clouds

One of the best cars I've owned. Sure they're ugly but it was super comfortable and drove great. My ex-wife wrapped it around a tree proving its crash worthiness.

I had one back in the days and loved it, the weird thing was i had manual windows but power mirrors and power trunk release on the door, i couldnt think of why people ordered such weird options, if i had the opportunity to get another one of these cars i would buy it again, so reliable just brake services and oil changes. 👍🍻

That's a really nice one..... Had one in sky blue. It was tore up but I drove it. Bought it tore up actually. Owner said 100$ and good luck to you. Ran it for a year thing finally tore transmission up. Engine was still a runner drove it everywhere without a radiator cap. Whole under hood was jumper wired when I got it. missed fired but still hit 55mph😂 with rain water coming in through the roof.

"...and there's the boot." - A Brit doing a review of an American car! :-) I watched this because I hired a small car in New York in October '88 and they gave me an white Dynasty instead. It was the same white as this but had the blue velour interior. It was pretty wild looking but not especially great to drive, especially at the maximum 55mph limit at the time for hour after hour. Great video!

Mine starts quicker than that one. 3.3 liter v6 is probably why. Dave's farm ch. tried to destroy one but couldn't, it outlived all the demolition derbies, so they dropped a van on it, it drove away with the van , so they drained all the fluids ( no oil, no coolant), despite all it been through it still ran for 20 minutes . If it 's not the most durable bit of kit , top 10 at least. I also believe no one ever died in it based on watching Cops , one got t boned at an intersection rolled several times, the peeps got out an ran away, that means not only did they not get hurt but, T H E Y R A N A W A Y !

These arnt that bad of cars. Maintenance is key for these. The Mitsubishi 3.0L has to have its head gasket replaced periodically but otherwise there not bad. The 3.3 that came out later is even more durable
