I got introduced to retrowave when i started seeing this girl a couple years ago. We quickly became very fond of each other. I felt like the music was encouraging my feelings to come out with a strong force. We were beautiful and it was intense like an 80’s love scene but alas it was not meant to be. As quickly as it started it ended and i first heard this song when i found myself driving alone at night with the most severe aching heart i ever had. The song helped some. 2 years later ive moved on but i still think about her when i hear this song. The whole thing feels like a dream.

It's a gift and a curse, I think one that not many share, specially for the 80's. Hearing a song, smelling a smell that teleports you back to a time a neon and sythn's.. nostalgia so strong, it pulls at you from within, your eyes fill with tears, then when you think you're at the height of the moment, you remember, it's all done and never will come back, the 80's will forever be in the 80's, these moments of nostalgia are all that remains, hold on to that feeling, feel it as much as you can, cry if you want too

This track hit me so deep, being an 80's kid and currently lost both spiritually and mentally. "Head to the neon lights, but I don't know why" is almost exactly what I need to hear right now. The neons representing God and my childhood.....the good times I use to have, I need to get back to happiness. Simply amazing!!

This song makes me feel so sad :( not in a bad way but it just associates me with my childhood during the 80's - those time which I never be able to get back again. Those sweet time where I enjoyed my life the most. I just wish that sometimes, you can invent a time machine to get back in the time and be a part of that era again. Things you regret, things you want to do again, people who you have lost and want to spend more time with them again :((

This song makes me think of her… Some say meeting a new person can give you that feeling of love you were searching for when trying to forget about another… But this is not so. The feeling she awoke that spark inside you the moment she navigated the room with her nonchalant attitude, the one that got a hold of you and escape was nothing but a shot in the dark. With her eyes that seemed feral and making your hunger for her grow more and more with each stare, each smart remark… each playful tease. And as fast as it all happened it also quickly faded; only this time you would hurt for longer than you care to admit. Remember her smile while she whispered you sweet nothings. You hadn’t felt this for someone in a very long time. Why did this woman had such a grip on me? Why did she make you want to paint the world in colors that don't exist? Meeting her only brought you confusion and hurt… A spiral with no end that would open up old wounds and feelings towards a woman that made you question yourself when you were not at fault-- you were just in love... but that word keeps losing meaning with each passing day in this world we live in; and with each passing second, you realize a small part of you dies as well.
