If there's to be any timegating at all, the intervals should be very short, like daily.

Time-gating player power isn't a problem as long as everyone clocks at the same rate. If a piece of gear isn't good yet, leave it in your bag until it is. If my BIS trinket drops from the last boss of the end game mythic raid I'm not going to be seeing that for a while either.

5:40 They introduce a nice item in a small zone and then go and timelock it and disable flight for the duration of the time lock. GG you killed the new zone and gear item you introduced straight out the gate.

I tell you the no flying is not the problem, the problem is that in this game mode (let's call it that) doesn't enhance our gameplay at all, so it was sure a backlash.

Im curious of how do you play wow. Im 32 and play three days and about three hours per session. One day I clear the raid second day I do m+ and only have one day to do anything else. I would like to grind the ring and get it done in one sitting so I can go do something else.

If you don't feel like you have enough time to play then make room in your schedule for more. If your real life responsibilities get in the way work or kids and you can't make more time I suggest growing up and stop playing children's games.

I think they should remove time gateting and let the hardcore players grind all day. Most players will grind one or two toons. While hard-core might do the grind five or six times.

I got the year sub about a year ago and I was glad, been a good time. Honestly though, my sub is up in a week and I have no intentions of resubbing, until gearing up doesn't feel like dragging my face over glass or the regular content is fun again I'm just over it for a while. This content patch is kinda joke and i'm just over it.

I feel the same way. My yearly sub runs out in January and I cannot see myself resubbing for a while. TWW launched strong and fell off a cliff very fast. My ILevel is good and I just do not have enough interesting things to do until something gives. And the story has a lot of potential but just sits stagnant for the moment which is not good. I will return but for now the game offers no motivation to keep going.

The problem with time gateting. It feels terrible doing it week after week. While a new player comes to 11.1 and gets all the catch gear and boom his done and ready. While you suffer week by week.

Very cool hunt for Hunters! I dislike time-gating as I'm sure most people do. I imagine it's them using attrition to milk the patch as long as they can, because there's really not that much to the patch.

I stopped playing WoW because of the time-gating. The worst offense is professions. Yet here I am checking WoW news because housing has been announced. I really hope they fix professions. I hate Knowledge Points so much.

Timegating really grinds my gears in WoW. Feels like they’re just trying to keep the subscriptions up with this filler "content." I finished the island in about 1.5 hours, and thankfully my sub ran out yesterday. Gonna wait for Season 2 at least.

I do not mind time gating, I grew up in a time where I needed to wait a week to see what happened on the next episode of Dragonball Z. I still like the anticipation, but I am the silent minority on this subject.

Timegating sucks. I go to Siren's to do the daily quest for the snapdragon and done. I've done all quests and kills for the week...got my Thrayir and Marmaduke so there isn't anything for me to do. Killing for transmogs and alt gearing isn't appealing. So really not motivated to play without something new to work on...

Tiemgating is just a way to maintain people paying their sub longer, like half of the things in the game, that's de business. Whoever thinks timegating is to help people with less time to play is delusional.

Wasn't timegating just to slow people down that tend to rush things? Like how a new raid comes out, people already down the whole raid in 1 or 2 hours of release, then in some cases even down heroic or even mythic whenever they decide to release all difficulties or single ones at a time. People are so Minmax these days hell you are slow or get lost while running a new dungeon (to you) you are removed almost instantly because you are slowing them down. You are new at tanking a dungeon and people gripe for taking the "wrong" route and even pull ahead of you causing aggro chaos and if they wipe they blame the "shitty" tank when they don't stop pulling chain after chain pulling packs and then DON'T EVEN CC/INTERRUPT 🤯 crazy right?

@Kross415 It's fine if they want to do that but why punish others who don't know the new stuff or aren't trying to push it as fast and it's sometimes the only option is to randomly group up because not everyone can find a guild or have friends who actually play or what not. There's a lot of things blizzard can do to change the social aspect and perhaps tune things better to not have to time gate but do they listen? No, I am shocked that they picked up Hurricane to help make cinematic trailers but yet they refuse simply quality of life things or ideal concepts that actually would bring people back stuff that wouldn't break the game yet they outright refuse to listen. So they aren't going to change with all of this time gating either simply because they don't care and if you ever seen the free isn't free episode of South Park, this game basically follows that fundamental rules of the Canadian Devil and the Devil explained, that they are hooking the addicts which are the demographics that only care for so nothing else matters.

Timegating exists because they offered such a tiny amount of content that it could be wrapped up in a day, which is on par for the TWW expansion anyways... a person could crank out the whole thing in a month or less. Meanwhile, on classic wow, I'm only level 13 and carefully plotting my strategy for these farking troggs kicking my ass LOL. At this rate, it'll take me 6 months to crank out to end-game... ON ONE TOON. Then start another, on the other side of the planet with a fresh set of quests i haven't seen. Retail WoW is garbage.

Honestly considering all the other things you should be doing per week (8 t8 delves, 8 heroic/mythics, 8 raid bosses) the weekly timegate is not a big deal. I'm casual and i never actually fully cap out the vault slots between 5 80s, just mostly do bountiful delves and push for coffer keys in the world. The game is honestly better for the change of pace and the optional gameplay that comes with it. I feel for players that feel like they "need" to do this content, but considering I'm someone that got the WoD ring and the panda cloak on like 10 different characters each while keeping 3-4 of them heroic/mythic raid ready, I just don't feel much sympathy for a self-inflicted grind having gone through plenty of my own.

Wtf people were expecting ? Once the ring is max ILVL with the optimal gems, there's nothing else to do. Wow became a drizzling of small content frequently. This is why vanilla have always been better.
