Love the cladding. All that work with no insulation. Even though it may be summer cabin only with an open ceiling I would have insulated the side walls while it was open just in case it becomes a year round cabin later on.

I searched to watch this to see about how the plumbing fit into the schedule, it appears you built this without any plumbing or electrical until it was dried in or am I wrong? Is this how all houses are built?

Thanks for the nice comment Bocephus! It's got water that gets collected from the water tank pumped into the shower, bathroom sink and kitchen sink with an electric pump that's connected to the solar system it also has a waterless composting toilet instead of one with water. The bathroom wasn't shown in the video because it there wasn't enough space to get good video footage.

Great design, great big porch. Would do double pane windows for insulation and cooling. That's gonna be HOT in the summer and find some way to cool the cabin but honestly that's it. My sole critique! LOVE

I really dig the modern architecture, done with more "rustic" finishes. Nicely executed, and inspiring.
Looks awsome but the decking boards are upside down and will rot pretty quickly, the grooves go to the underside to give airflow between the boards and joists to help drying and prevent rot... otherwise good job

awesome time-lapse, really well built cabin. My only curiosity is that there's absolutely no insulation and the windows appear to be single panes. Isn't it really hot there? I'm just thinking that this would be miserably hot and no amount of "following the sun" and opening/closing windows would keep it at a bearable temperature.
Was trying to figure out where this was build … until I saw the flyscreen door 🤨… still sweet as cabin for many generations to make memories 🤙

I really love the design with the wood and the green color :) Things I would like to point out: - I think there is insulation missing in the roof and on the top part of the wall at 5:52 - What is with wireing? Is there no electricity planned for a cabin like this? - I think it would be a nice addition if you would try to collect the rainwater in a tank and reuse it in the cabin.. that would be a great way to use the nature that surrounds you in this Cabin (absolutely love the view from the windows) - An additional extra could also be an inbuild fireplace in the deck outside Thats all from me, keep up the good work
@logcabingetaways473 жыл бұрын
Hi Timm, thanks for the comment! It has electricity from solar and water from a water tank that is reused into the kitchen sink, bathroom sink and shower. Theres a waterless composting toilet in the bathroom also! 🙂 It was my first time filming it all so unfortunately I didn't get a chance to get good shots of the electricians and plumbers putting them in but it will definitely be something that I'll include in the videos for the cabins in the holiday park.
@littlered67802 жыл бұрын
Hi Timm, I agree.. there was quit a bit of insulation missing though they employed a bit of foil/reflective material. Not sure if any went into the ceiling - see 5:20 looking at the high wall area and the 4:06 mark, front lower left wall.

People. This is built in Australia, where the average winter temperature is a balmy 50 degrees in freedom units. It’s not going to snow unless it’s a nuclear winter. Enjoy the construction, and hard work that went in to this beautiful escape.

Insulation does more than keep things warm. it also keeps things cool.
@SilverJackLeg3 жыл бұрын
This statement lacks credibility. How can we be sure it's really Australia? I have seen no spiders, snakes, crocs, sharks nor Rupert Murdoch. I need to see bbq, old AC/DC (or Dannii Minogue) t-shirt or at least Return to Eden poster, before I (as a European) can call it a fair dinkum cabin.

@Svetlana_Yugoslavna2 жыл бұрын
Hallo. Very like like this project home , because of this: high ceilings 3.5 m, a modern glass door, and in the center like in a store 🙂 (sorry without wall insulation), a simple roof .. if this is not a store, then for a bedroom and personal, a second floor is required, so winters are cruel steel ..and in general it’s ideal for an art workshop, any pedagogy lessons, a drawing circle for children, or for buying from someone with modest incomes .. I personally would add trim for windows or protective iron blinds or iron bars and necessarily partitions around the house strengthened the protection.

This book is a great source of inspiration for anyone who wants to build high-quality tiny homes. Instead of settling for ordinary materials and designs, you can learn how to create structures that are durable and aesthetically pleasing. kzbin.infoUgkxLum--iPp9YKZ09j1BMdHaBMLkrGfIbcm The book does not provide detailed engineering drawings, but it offers plenty of photos that illustrate the concepts and designs. The book assumes that you have some basic building skills, but it also provides a range of ideas that can suit different preferences and needs. I found this book very useful and informative, and I appreciate it greatly. Thank you for providing such a valuable content in these Shed Plans. It is remarkable! For long-term service, it seems like it is worth investing a bit more money. Ryan, you are very generous to share such extensive information with us at a very affordable price.
