Timelapse of my Toughest Mixed Media Art piece ever!!

I love that mixed media art can be a combination of ANY number of different art supplies. This combo of markers and pencils is a knock-out!! I use it all the time for rendering portraits. But no matter how easy your art materials are and how fun to use, there's no fix for a super complicated piece and this unique face was a HUGE challenge for me!! However, I persevered with LOTS of layers and she came through beautifully at the end (or so I like to think!!).

This Burmese babe was created with the following colors and supplies:
Copic Skin Colors Used: E01, E21, E30, E53, E95, E81, E31, E51, R01, R12 Please do NOT be daunted by this list. I just grab things!!! You can absolutely do the same. Remember: Good skin tone with markers is a result of a CULMINATION of many layers of different shades of colors. There IS no right combination. You can mix and match your colors and tones in a WIDE variety of different combinations and all will result in awesome skin tones!!!! You use what you have, and you'll be FINE! Promise!! Just keep layering until you're happy. Start light and work slowly slowly and gradually add in your shaded values and you'll be fine.
Copic Hair Colors Used: Black
Clothes Colors: Y35 & Y18 (yellows), RV06 & RV25 (pinks), FB2 & B04 (Blues) PLUS Posca Paint Pens in Yellow, Blue and Purple
Brass Neck Ring Colors: Y28, E84, E87

Can’t believe this 😮………I have a photograph of this woman (that I took) …… somewhat younger and no makeup ……. on my longe room wall. We were in Myanmar (Burma) in 2004 and visited a “long neck” village……… this woman walked us around the village showing us how they weave and various other things, she was lovely. She advised us, that very few of the young girls wanted to have their necks bound because it prevented them from living a modern life. They can never take the rings from their necks, because their necks would break. If it’s not her …….. it’s her twin sister….😂 Love the time lapse ……… great picture. ❤

Wow! She is amazing. The Whimsical Women, lessons are definitely on my to do, list. I like the speed up version as a compliment to 'normal' speed lessons. I would watch the speed up first because it kinds of blows away the cobwebs, if you know what I mean, and gets you in the mood to start the lesson :)

I think it is very hard to learn on a time lapse video. That being said it is a good preview of the piece. The time lapse I have seen in the past has the artist talking through the video explaining what is going on.
