I brought a black 3 seater one of these, what a piece of kit... It's absolutely gorgeous! I've had it about 5 years now & it's immaculate still.

What's great about this video, is the fact that the Chesterfield Sofa is ALL they build all day every day. They are absolute masters of this design. They aren't splitting their time between this, and lamps and end tables etc. So you know you are getting a well built product. Reminds me of hand built cars like Bugatti and Koenigsegg.

My wife and I have been eyeing a Chesterfield for my man cave- the fist time I sat in it I felt like all I needed was a scotch and cigar in that chair to control the world. Haha. Seeing the time and craftsmanship that goes into making one only strengthens my resolve to own one.

Hi there, i really like how you make those beautiful Sofas. You're system is not too fabricated and we can see handcrafts in your production. We have a small workshop in Istanbul and sometimes we make chesterfield sofas but it takes too long for as and costs are very high for us to make them. I wish we could make sofas like you do. Greetings From Istanbul

Thanks for your kind comments. We've been crafting them for over 30 years and many of our staff have been with us from the beginning so they can pretty much make them in their sleep now! I'm always amazed at how consistent they are in the high quality of their workmanship even though they appear quite quick in what they do. Maybe our international trade manager could help you out and perhaps you could be one of our trade partners? Just a thought. If you would like to know more. Excellent video. Thank you. Can you give some tips on how a Chesterfield could be converted to a Love Seat by removing the center section? We could use some extra room and in most cases only 2 people sit on our Chesterfield. We could get some assistance from an Upholsterer but would consider doing any construction work ourselves. Thanks for any hints.

Hi Timeless chesterfields, im trying to gather some info with regards to leather sofas cuz i think ive been conned with the one i brought, mine is only one year old and where theres a crease its slipt, the thing thats getting me thou is the look of the leather its got some white materical on the back of the leather some man made materical looks like cotton, but why would leather need something on the back of it i know my leather jacket dont and for it starting to spilt only after one year of light use, it was suppose to be real leather, hope you dont mind me asking and your feedback would be very grateful. Thanks Matt

What is he rubbing on the couch to give it that aged appearance? After some practice would it be possible to do that to any leather couch or does the finish of the leather have something to do with it?
@TimelesschesterfieldsOfficial11 жыл бұрын
Hi creative370, the leather used is a specific leather called antique or rub off leather as some call it. It is built up of layers of colour so that when the water-based solution is applied the various layers are revealed. There is definitely an art to it as our craftsmen have spent years and years perfecting the technique, particularly in blending the colours. You'll notice ours have a much better finish than a lot of other sofas out there which is why you'll see a lot that look very wishy washy in appearance. We wouldn't recommend applying this technique to just any leather as the results could be potentially catastrophic. Hope that helps.

Your grandfather had fantastic taste! To be honest, reupholstering a Chesterfield is not something that is done easily I'm afraid as it takes years of practice to achieve quality results. It's clearly a treasured item by your family so I would look to have it worked on by a professional if I were you. Hope that helps.
