Love the comments about the expensive ones (particularly the Tedalus which is crazy at $1000 for a razor). That new slant looks mild just looking at the head; seems to not have a really slanted slant to it. And a negative exposure, too. Will be interesting to see how efficient it is once you get it in action. Have a great week T.

Thanks, Steve! I just feel like a non-adjustable made of stainless steel is not worth $1,000 and I don't care how much lipstick you put on that pig. The razor is mild, a very mild feel to yet but a very nice shaver. I've used it 3 times now and am glad I made the purchase. Have a great week!

When it comes to modern razors over $200 I've just never really felt like I got "my money's worth" out of most of my modern razors. I enjoy them don't get me wrong. But sooner or later the newness wears off and it becomes just another razor and I find myself using my cheaper razors as often or more often than the $200 plus ones. At least with vintage they retain their value and can be sold for the same that I purchased them for or more. Good luck doing that with most modern tho. Have a good weekend!

Timeless really do make some very attractive razors. The handle is especially nice. Way back in early 2020 I won the original Timeless aluminium, and although I love it, the level of efficiency is too much for me, and I tend to give myself irritation with it. Anybody new, please notice that I stated that "I give myself irritation with it.) I have a few friends who are much less kackhanded than me, who get perfect shaves with theirs each and every time.

Nice looking razor. A slant with a .002 negative blade exposure? As an everyday shaver I don't really need a slant, but the negative blade exposure sounds interesting. I will be watching for your review of this razor. When I try different razors, I always find myself going back to my Rockwell 6s. Have a great weekend. 👍

Right? I still need to go use it. Our daughter has friends over so I got distracted with them and a pizza dinner. I'm a daily shaver as well. There is just something about slants that I love. More than just physical, I'll talk about it when I review. Replying to your comment just gave me an idea lol. And same here, I LOVE my 6C and 6S. They shave as well or better than most or all. Hope your weekend is off to a great start! By the way, you got me reading comics again! I haven't read comics in years! Thanks for turning me onto that website!

@@Tobins_throwbacks Just received this razor and had one shave with it using a Personna Platinum blade. This did a good job with almost no blade feel. I am sure after a few more shaves I will get use to the weight difference from my usual stainless steel razors my shaves will be even better. I will also try a sharper blade. Never thought I would like a slant razor. The price is at a great point and this could even be great for a beginner. Have a great day. 😀

I was wondering about have it would shave, I haven't used mine yet. I'm going to use it here shortly. I was afraid of exactly what you mentioned. That's why I mentioned the money and the cost in the beginning. I rarely use my Tuxedo, maybe once or twice a year, and considering what I paid for it is what burns me the most. I bought it when it first came out like I did the Slant. So, I'm hoping I don't kick myself too hard considering I only paid $54 for it. And don't get me wrong, I love my Konsul. I do, I just have a hard time promoting it and telling guys that they need one. I'll come back after my shave and let you know how the first one went. How many times did you use it?

@@Tobins_throwbacks A very slight negative exposure can become neutral with the right blade. I'd try it with a Kai or a Feather and see what it feels like since they are slightly wider than standard and raise the blade exposure from the factory numbers. Neutral exposure razors have been great for me as someone who has sensitive skin and likes to shave frequently. As with everything YMMV. Seems like it was built to be an approachable daily driver. Nothing wrong with that, but it won't be for everyone, particularly if you really enjoy a lot of blade feel or have extremely coarse hair.

I'd be nervous to drop such a huge amount on a razor. When you've got Yates, Karve, and others putting out top level work for under $100, it's hard to not be disappointed by something that costs so much more and doesn't offer any improvement outside of polishing. I don't see a problem with the top of the market going higher though. Stuff trickles down to the budget side of the market too. Nobody was making CNC solid razors a decade ago. Only the crazy enthusiasts had them. Now you see numerous solid stainless machined razors with a polished finish for the same price as a good zamak razor.
@Tobins_throwbacks10 ай бұрын
Well said Lee, I couldn't have said it better myself. I've just learned as a content creator I have a responsibility not to overhype stuff. And there is no way a stainless steel non-adjustable razor would ever deliver a $1,000 shave. The last thing I want is to add to the chaos. It's great that people are making them. I don't think he'll sell very many, not in this economy. But, with enough content creators hyping it maybe it will. I had an opportunity to be included in the pass-around of the Tedulas. But declined because I knew exactly how the shave would go. It would be a good or maybe even great shave but not a $1,000 shave. So, rather than say anything negative about the product in a "formal review" video I declined. I've passed up on a few reviews for similar reasons. The main thing they all have in common is a product that doesn't deliver for the price. And, I have other content I'd rather create. When I buy something it's different from when it's sent to me. I don't know exactly how to verbalize it. Two years of KZbin reviews have altered my perspective...if that makes sense. Have a good one Lee!

Yeah I heard about that $1,000 razor that's pretty dumb there's no reason for why a simple grooming TOOL should cost that much. You can buy several razors for that price. I know it has a nice look to it and has unique manufacture formula (the kind used for car engines- did you hear about that part) but again all of these razors look nice if cleaned properly. It shaves no differently they all do it the same kind of way, I mean they're to shave with at the end of the day right? I don't see how any of these razors are THAT stand out different. But whatever, let people feel the way they want but that's reality and just good common sense.
