Actually, such a printer realy cries for Klipper in my opinion. Also for an Enraged Rabbit Carrot Feeder (Multiple Material Unit). There are two reasons I would call something like an ERCF neccassary: 1. You need a lot of filament. With an automatic filament changer you can automaticly unload the empty spool and continue with the next without manual intervention. 2. while on small printers you get a lot of waste using a waste tower, so an IDEX would be preferable, on a big print (big in x and y) the waste tower has the same size as on a smal print, so relative to the object you print it does not realy matter.

What is the proper way to set Z AXIS OFFSET? After instaling the new nozlle, heat break and the hetat sink tubing I got the new dimensions of the heat blok and the nozzle. If I try to adjust the Z distance on the screen the nozzle hits hard on the surface of the printing bed and making skratches . I need information and help to adjust the Z axis offset to the new dimensions. Any idea.?

You can't use the dual filament on this to print dissolvable material because both filaments come out the same nozzle. Would be 1000 times better as a idex dual extrusion. Or if they could build a idex Gemini XS this size. Would buy that in a minute.
@oleurgast730
@oleurgast730 Жыл бұрын
Actually I do not see the problem. At this size a waste tower does not realy matter. Anyways, in this size I do not realy recommend materials like ABS or Nylon. So basicly you stuck to PLA and PETG. As theese two materials do not stuck well to each other, just use PETG as support material on PLA prints and vice versa. Pretty good results, as support is extremly easy to remove. Of course you can also change the nozzle temperature after unloading; it is just a matter of the gcode you create. Automatic filament change depends a lot on the filament tip after unloading. Prusa hat a lot of complains about the reliabitity of the MMU2. This was greatly improved by the software, with unloading uses a bit of pushing first before unloading with changing unloading speed. The automatic change improves even more with integrated heatbreak/nozzle combos like Revo or Trianglelabs CHC. An IDEX on a coreXY this size is not optimal in my opinion. As said in the video, it is realy hard to adjust belt tension correctly. On a coreXY this size it would be even harder to adjust everything as both extruders still have to use the exact same x. So definitly coreXY is not the ideal kinematic for IDEX. You have to use a cartesian kinematic, like mounting two x motors on the x-axis (heavy moving mass in y-direction, as the motors are moved with the x axis) or crossing rods kinematic (the best solution for big size in my opinion anyway).
@oleurgast730
@oleurgast730 Жыл бұрын
Sorry, I just saw the assambly video. It isn't CoreXY but has the x-motor on x-axis (so a cartesian). I was a bit confused, as I don't have the Tronxy, but a Jennyprinter 650 (which is 650by650by650). The Jennyprinter is a CoreXY, much faster (uses Klipper) and of course the way to upgrade Multi Materal would be the ERCF...
@jenspetersen5865
@jenspetersen5865 Жыл бұрын
@@oleurgast730 The Jennyprinter 650 seems beter build than this, but what I really want is a Bambulab X1C with either X or Y at at least 600mm. When I see the tronXY here it is sloooow, but that is less of a concern as we would probably make 5-10 parts/month on the printer within a printing envelope of 250x600. We are printing engineering parts - essentially visual/structural exterior and bearing type material in surfaces (IGUS filaments) which we will CNC surface afterwards. What are your experiences with the Jenny printer and what are you printing? Do you know other options?

I have this problem with my VEHO600. I setup temperature of the hotbed to 55C. I checked the temperature of the hotbed everywhere and the temperature of the corners are always 30C. The ends of my 6 days printing piece are warping up. Is there any way to adjust the temperature of the corners and the edges to 55C??
@TimelessMotors
@TimelessMotors 2 жыл бұрын
I think it goes without saying there is no way to adjust corner bed temperature . But what you can do is either heat the enviroment or build an enclosure. Or run a hotter bed. In my experience prolonged heat can cause warpage as well. What are you printing thats taking 6 days? I would put in a larger nozzle and play with layer height so that way you can shorten your print time.

The problem was in the replaced nozzle. I replaced it with the MK8 standard nozzle but after contacting Tronxy support I got information that standard MK8 nozzle is not sutable for VEHO600 printer. The answear was "MK8 is only the type and model of nozzle, The throat is our own customized length." Meaning that I cannot use the MK8 standard nozzle. I should buy the special nozzle design from their store in China not from the Amazon. Did you have problem with your nozzle? Did you have need to replace it yet???? What kind of nozzle is on your printer??@@TimelessMotors

Hey man, would this be able to print custom airboxes? Haha I'm thinking about starting my own little business. Rather than TIG up stuff, I'm thinking of this to mass produce it kinda thing. What do you think
@TimelessMotors
@TimelessMotors 2 жыл бұрын
Well the reality of mass producing 3d printed parts is rough. An Airbox would most likely take 30 to 40 hours to print if not more. So almost 2 days, Then you have to pray it doesnt detach from the bed or warp. Probably take a roll of filament or two. I dont know if the margin is there. It would take like a month to make 15 airbox with one printer. You will need a print farm. But for prototyping an airbox it should work. I would opt for a printer with an enclosure to prevent warping and aid in printing ABS.

@TimelessMotors What's your process to dial it in, that would help a lot. I'm stalled out on how to proceed after doing the automatic leveling. I have a newer firmware because I bought their ball-screw upgrade and they did away with or moved Z-Offset. I have no idea how to do the manual leveling without being able to do the Z-Offset and support isn't telling me. Not sure if it's the language barrier or he's intentionally being difficult. I really have no idea how to proceed. I think everyone would benefit from you dialing in process though. So you're printing entire body kits? What material are you using? Do they or you use body putty over the plastic to get the surface smoothed out?

The heated bed runs right off the AC current, power supply is for the rest. As the bed cycles heating, it would draw high energy and then pause or it would use PWM to limit based on set temp. My current printer cycles between 40w-235w on my power meter as the bed heater turns on and off. I'm just wondering what this printer does mid-run on a 45-70C bed temp.
@Psyneous
@Psyneous Жыл бұрын
OK, I got my answer when I got done building mine. Bed heater and electronics pulls up to about 880w until it hits temp, then kicks off until it starts heating again, then its back up to 850+ watts. So, on a 15A breaker, half the load goes to the bed. I guess I'm either printing or gaming. Can't run 600W on my computer and 1100 potential on my printer off one 15A breaker, or my girlfriend will scream at me when her craft room goes dark.

For the price (check a 600x bed alone) It is not bad, change that stock extruder for a V6 with that BMG clone! Also that BIG needs 9mm belts bad.... I buy the standard ones because the parts minus: Extruder, boards/screen, kinematics (easy to print better idler brackets), REAL linear rails, and dual Z belt upgrade they are a great deal. And yes I would get rid of/do all the aforementioned to any Tronxy corexy machine..... For another 150ish I get as close to a voron as you can get, for $500.
