I was in the US so I did not get it processed through NVC but through an adjustment of status within the US. Times for NVC processing are variable. Typically once the visa becomes available as per the visa bulletin, it takes approx 2 months for NVC to transfer the case to the embassy/consulate of choice, and from that point it really depends of that center.

For NIW right now yes, there is more than a year of backlog based on the visa bulletin

To be clear... I am applying for the NIW from outside of the US. I will submit my I-140, and if I get approval, I will need to do consular processing before I can gain entry to the US? Is there a route to get to the US and THEN apply for a I-485 when I arrive in the country?

Congratulations on your application! The regular notification by mail can take weeks. 2 weeks is average within the US; more if abroad. So do not worry too much. If you provided payment by check you will be able to see when they withdraw the money from your account - that means they accepted your petition

Hi Moon lamari. Thanks!! Great to hear from you. Yes, you can adjust status from a B1 visa but because it is a visa without dual intent you must be careful with you expiration date and especially if you are traveling (see this video kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5Cpp6umg5merKs). It is def possible to do it yourself but as I said you have to consider how much time you can put into it.

@@OscarsGreenCard I just checked the DHL receipt and you are correct it was send to Lewisville Texas and from there i think they forwarded it to Nebraska center as when i received my Receipt Notice the first three alphabets are LIN..

Hi Oscar!, I am currently preparing my EB-2 NIW case and my lawyer told me that from the last USCIS visa bulletin Adjustment of Status cant be done within the US for cases that are being presented after Febrery 15th, 2022. Ah, it is a general question... There is no way for me, unfortunately, if that is the case. But I don't think there is any correlation between those two things. They would issue an RFE as soon as they review the case, not after a while

Hi André. Right now, given the Visa Bulletin current situation, you can only work until you get your I-140 approved AND you submit adjustment of status package and your temporary EAD card gets approved. It is advisable to wait until your case is fully approved (including I-485) to start working under your green card status, in case anything goes wrong with your process. If the Visa Bulletin goes back to Current, then you could theoretically file 140 and adjustment of status concurrently, request temporary EAD card and start working with that, although I advice against this unless it is absolutely needed.

Congratulations! great to hear your good news. Did you apply with a lawyer/consultant or all by yourself, what is your field? The chances are high, you will need to complete the consular processing steps and attend an interview. The big questions is the timeline for that, as different embassies work differently.

But like i said in the video please note the definition they give for processing time. Those times are higher than the actual time you would experiment. A more realistic estimate is what you can see in one of my last slides

For Bangladesh, it's the same as ROW which is Dec 1, 2022 as priority date. So, you can't file for AOS/I485 unless you have applied I485 on or before Dec 1, 2022.

My Question is, i was single when i applied my i-140 application 6 months ago and now I'm going to married soon within 15 days. How can i add my spouse along with my application ?? Do i need to wait for NVC welcome letter and apply for my spouse after that?? What best options are available to get my spouse along with me to US?? Or should i go there first then apply ??
