Yes you can travel during academic year. You can travel during the university closure days but if you are travelling during the term dates then u should have informed ur university. Overall u can stay around 120 outside uk but universities usually recommend not to stay over 60 days

No, i don't think it will. IELTS is required for getting visa only. There is no further use of it when you reach there. There is no need for ielts for getting part time jobs there. I have not been to uk but i have consulted some of the students studying there. Consult others as well, there may be some use of it.

@@jaya3478 1 year fee (or fee - initial deposit) + living expenses for one year has to be shown for visa processing......you can show something like bank statement or FD etc
