That's true, a black hole that size would have already destroyed the planet at the very least, maybe a lot of the solar system (a black hole with the diameter of a coin would have the mass of the Earth). Although if you fell into a supermassive black hole (one of those ones as big as the solar system) you'd be fine for about a week after crossing the event horizon before being turned into a noodle and time might do some weird things during your last week (possibly even seeming to slow down). Although I guess they kinda needed a plot device. Maybe the plot device wasn't a black hole after all and maybe they didn't know what to call it and it was just some weird portal thing.

This reminds me of an old movie called Groundhog's Day set in Punxsutawney, Pennsylvania (maybe an hour from where I live). I watch it every year. It's about a meteorologist and his news crew who got stuck in a blizzard on Groundhog's Day when they tried to go home and he wakes up every day at 6 AM no matter what he does on Groundhog's Day. He finally breaks out of the loop at the end, he falls in love and learns so many things, like how to play the piano, about the people who live there, even saving a man's life. It's a really cute story and fun to watch every year.
