Maybe the timeline is not OK, and we miss informations about the the species, the size and others informations. But it is actually pretty accurate, I was surprise to be honest. I did experience a jellyfish sting once, when I was a kid, I went to a coastal area W my cousins and there were lots of jellyfish (like alot) so people told me to be careful of them so I was, when I was in the water, I was checking so that no jellyfish is under my feet, but when I turned around for 1 second, I felt a burning sensation immidietly. And how clumsy I was ( and still is) I knew I got stinged. I busted out crying so loud, everyone on the island could hear me. I was so embarrassed that I was the only one that got stinged. My mother rushed and immediately took me , scolded me ,and said "no it's not a sting, those jellyfishes don't sting maybe u had an allergic reaction to the water " I was so mad and tried to convince her that it was a jellyfish sting but she kept denying it. I kept telling her " if I did get an allergic reaction, then why did I get it so late!? I was playing for a long time but that time nothing happend!? " then she applied some cream but it was still so painful. Then I was limping on the way home and whining of pain . After a few weeks I started noticing so bumps and those bumps were really big (like really big) I then I was worried, then weeks after weeks, it started increasing and my whole leg was covered with bumps. I had to deal with those bumps for months. I guess those were the side effects of jellyfish stings. Then it finally went away but left a lot of scars. Those scars stayed there for 5 months straight then it went away. So ya , that's my story. I hope u know know what it feels like to be stinged by a jellyfish.

I got stung by a jellyfish twice I was around 6 or 7 when I was visiting family in a Texas. We went to the beach and everything was good at first. My cousin got stung by one and I thought it was a lobster, she was crying pretty hard but I didn’t think much about it. Not long after I got stung by one on my right leg, I started crying and my aunts friend had this jel to reduce the pain. Not long after I went back into the ocean and I got stung again. I immediately started crying because the jellyfish stung me on my left leg. Now that I’m much older and I still go to the beach. Nothing has changed 😐😅

I was stung by a jellyfish very recently. I was snorkeling because i was on vacation and i felt this kinds of stinging sensation on my right wrist. i looked and there was a red mark there. my sister also got stung on her leg and we looked in the water and confirmed that there were moon jellies floating around. even though the sting didnt hurt that much i stated crying because a: i was scared of being stung again, b:we were pretty far out from shore so i had to swim with a burning wrist, and c: i was afraid it might be poisinous. (it wasnt i am very much alive and fine)

lymph node swelling is so bad feeling and it hurts like hell!! when i was four or five my lymph nodes decided to swell up because i ate a sour patch kid and i woke up at like four in the morning, crying because whenever i layed on my side, IT HURT SO BAD. and take into consideration that i have always had a high pain tolerance (like i never cried to the point that my parents thought i couldn't feel pain) and the fact that i was crying about this was crazy. i went to the doctor and she said to rotate hot and cold and im still kinda traumatized by the whole incident but anyways, it hasn't happened since then. i feel like swollen lymph nodes need more recognition because of the significant amount of pain that the person that has it has to go through!

It depends on what jellyfish you swallow. Most are very harmless to humans and likely won’t kill anyone. Some are deadly, like box jellyfish and man o war jellyfish. Due to most jellyfish being relatively harmless to humans, sometimes we eat them.
