Timeline of My Beard!

I'm 18 and pre-T (will be starting very soon though!) and I've been able to grow a slight mustache since I was like 14. I doubt the two are linked but soon after starting DHEA, I noticed some thicker hairs coming in among my peach fuzz, but I'm blonde so it's not really noticeable, but I'm really proud of it. I have a sneaking suspicion that my facial hair is going to start coming in very soon after I start T.

Just in the genes I guess!! I luckily don't have much hair on my back or shoulders but my chest hair has been growing in steadily as the years pass lol!

That's so no fair. I'm a year on T and I got a tiny little clump of like 7 hairs on one side of my jaw...so losing my temper with it

Just gotta give it some time my man! Depends a lot on genetics, natural t level, and just some basic time for the t to kick in full gear!! Don't stress it and enjoy the journey- it doesn't last forever!

Couldn't grow much of a beard until I was 20 or so. And puberty started at 13, so grunge is good, don't sweat it.

This is my feelings. I am now 19 months (1 year 7 months) on T and yet I just have a few hairs that are just slightly darker than the others. The rest of it is unchanged peach fuzz. The beard envy is real when I get to see other ftm guys with significant beard growth after only 7 months on T.

Lately I’ve been getting hair bumps on where my mustache is growing and I wanted to know if that is normal? I’ve been told it’s just hair bumps. I have a feeling that I’m going to be very hairy and I’m kinda hoping I’m not but you can’t fight genetics.

My question is, im a beardless guy in my 40s and only have hair at bottom of my chin,..never grew a beard and less a moustache, forgive my ignorance, but if i take T as well,..would it work on me in getting a full beard and or moustache? ....and where and how can i get T? thanks man for making this video it helped me understand better when to except or learn to be very patient but i always wanted facial hair i have been shaving since i was 18 and its funny cause my parents said to me that they didnt want to hear me complain about facial hair and i told them i have been shaving since i was 18 and they were surprised everyone has known all my life very strongly that i have wanted to be a boy why would that i shave my face suprise u thats funny to me man cant wait to get the name change dont what crap i want to find a way to make this name change process easier for transgender people they even made me put it in the newspaper its no ones business what i do and its taken 4 months why there is no reason for that so even thursday wqhen i went into the court i even threatened my life so they would take me seriously and all they did was blame me for it so monday im going back there am hoping to go infront of a judge i even am bring my letter i got from both my doctors i needed for top surgery just in case that will help speed this along but i needed this done months ago this is just crap as everytime someone uses my birth name or mam i really just want to die and my dysphoria is killing me but knowing top surgery is feb name change better happen soon and u help me understand that in time i will meet me for the first time so thank u i should ur channel to my pt guy to help him understand what will happen and he said u look like just another guy and said that so cool so i look up to u and thank u so much for helping me when i am down or just need to hear u because ur personality is so cool u make me laugh and to know that maybe one day i can find some kind of peace with myself and be happy hope all is well good luck on the baby journey i am so happy for u both any really prayer everything works out for u guys oh and ur wife is so cool too

Jake If you're a cis guy and don't grow much/any facial hair, testosterone supplements would only help if you are deficient in T for some reason, and even then, just maybe. If you're a trans guy then yeah starting T will probably make at least some facial hair grown in - But either way it's going to boil down to your individual genetics and whether or not you have the genes for a full beard. If you don't, you might not ever be able to grow a full on lumberjack beard, which is pretty common tbh, not everyone has the ability for that kind of facial hair. Some guys grow facial hair thick and quickly and some will always have thinner, finer, or patchier facial hair and that's okay as well. In the end, cis or trans, you'll grow what you have the ability to grow; and if you're trans then sure taking T is going to bring out whatever potential you had lurking in your DNA, but if you're cis and want a fuller beard but aren't testosterone deficient then, no, it won't have any sudden beard growing benefits. Just like height, body hair, baldness, voice, overall appearance, and any number of other factors, it comes down to your personal genetics. Don't sweat it too much though, everyone's different and that's 100% okay.
