Keldara There are two sides to every story. While I disagree with the way Prince Charles behaved with princess Diana God rest her soul she was no Saint that people make her out to be. As the Mother of the future King of England princess Diana did some awful things on the other hand she also did a lot of charity and for that she is to be admired. Princess Diana appearing on TV and airing her private life with out considering her sons really angered me. Princess Diana was a very complicated woman!!!!

These sort of people self harm are vindictive defiant prone to mood swings where they come across as caring and then suddenly switch and are devious. @@maggiemae7749 Yes Maggie Princess Diana did have an affair with a married man and other men whether it was vindictiveness or just plain looking for so called love or it may have been low self esteem what ever the problem she was Mother of the future King of England and should have been more self sacrificing which is true love. Princess Diana on TV admitted to a lot of her mistakes which again I felt was so wrong to do that and once again no thought as to how that could affect her sons. If Princess Diana had a borderline personality disorder that is sad because people who have the problem cannot account for what they do. I say a prayer for her from time to time because she do a lot of charitable work and died far too young. Only 36 years of age how sad!!!

IMO I think Prince Charles just really wants to live his own life but at the same time he knows that he can't get away from it no matter what he does and he probably didn't fully come into terms with that. And there probably wasn't a person who helped him with all these, at least in a healthier fashion. There may be a lot of repressed fears, guilt, and regret going on there.

It's a very silly documentary sensationalising and superficial. Charles was way ahead of his time in many ways as many are finding out now. Maybe not all of his views are correct or 'perfect' but whose are? I think he is quite visionary after watching a doco on how the Duchy of Cornwall is run.

He also cheated on his wife Diana with his present common law wife Cruella de Vile. (English law says that the direct heir to the throne has to be married in the Church of England. Since Cruella was divorced, the church wouldn't marry them. They were married in a civil ceremony, then had a blessing, not a marriage, in the church. So under English law, Chuckie isn't legally married to Cruella. They allowed Harry to get married in church to Meghan, who was divorced, because Harry isn't the direct heir to the throne, his older brother William is).

you dont know that that was conventional wisdom until the 1960s or 70s? Most people thought that a woman with a sexual life was of dubious morals while a man was Ok to do so. Charles didnt promulgate this idea, it was around everywhere. in Fact, Charles liked his women to be experienced and confident, but the general idea was still out there that the future queen had to be someone who had no past that the papers could dig up and gossip about.

@dswilliams26865 жыл бұрын
@Lyre Burch I'm old enough to have followed them from the very beginning. You're right. They should never have been together. But he proposed, being much older and knowing he should not have but was only doing so because he needed a virgin and sons. She accepted at the age of 19 far more naive than he and having the hope of actual love, so yes I blame the one who was older and should have known better. As for it being "none of our business" I'm sorry to disagree but it was made very much everybody's business. If the royals are no one's business then they should just go away and stop costing so much money. Yes, she's been dead for years. If she'd have only said "no" she'd probably still be alive.
@dswilliams26865 жыл бұрын
@Lyre Burch Clearly we see things differently. To my mind, a 19 year old girl is grossly naive no matter what environment she was raised in, but being raised in a sheltered bubble only makes her more so. The fact that you are saying she attended "college" causes me to wonder about where you have gotten your information. She did not attend college. She went to boarding school and was absolutely miserable. When girls her age were attending college she was giving birth. Yes they were both imperfect human beings. Like all of us. But she's dead, as you've mentioned, and is not here to defend herself.
@dswilliams26865 жыл бұрын
@Lyre Burch I am sincerely glad we can discuss it without the conversation devolving as so many social media conversations do. I think it's unwise for us to judge someone's mental state on viewing an interview, but if we're doing so then I must say that in watching Charles' interview what I saw was a soulless, narcissistic, arrogant overgrown brat with no regard for anyone but himself. The fact is he is only PofW because Edward VIII, who was not married and not divorced himself married a divorced woman and was forced to step down. How then is Charles, who is not only divorced himself but also married a divorced woman as well even fit to be king if Edward VIII was not for doing half as much? Whenever I mention this the empty argument that comes back is "it's 2019" etc. It's always really been a sh__show going back to Henry VII who merely was the son of a chamber servant. But all we can do sometimes is laugh from the sidelines, and have hearty chats in the pubs or over tea. :)

The Marriage Act that allows weddings in register offices ,and now other places , instead of churches has a specific clause excluding senior Royals from it’s provisions. The Prince of Wales as heir to the Throne cannot by law be married anywhere other than a church. His “marriage” to Camilla therefore has no validity in English law. It cannot fail to be noted that H.M. The Queen did not attend the “ wedding” of her own son and heir. That says it all.
