Once it switches off, does it switch off completely, or does it drop to a temperature sufficient to stop the place getting frosted up windows, i.e. dropping below zero, thus increasing the heating requirement of people living in rooms next door?

luke dawson the default minimum temperature is 14 degrees. But the installer can set this to 7 or 18 if they wish. I have the default in most of my HMOs, and 18 degrees minimum in my larger 9 bed Victorian property.

How do you set the actual clock? This is wrong so our heating comes on at weird times! Would prefer not to adjust the heating times to match the incorrect clock

Sorry I have only just seen this comment. I imagine this has been rectified. But in case it hasn’t you can adjust the clock using the small pin hole in the side of the unit and press a pen or pencil in there holding for a few seconds.

I'm a landlord tempted to one of these, can the program temp and boost temp be adjusted by the landlord? And 1 hr of heat twice seems a bit tight, esp in evenining, can this be increased?
@timeostat87726 жыл бұрын
Program temperature is fixed at 21 degrees. But tenants can then adjust this as required. The program and boost durations can be changed. Boosting can be 2 or 3 hour max. And program times can be 1, 2 or 3 hours. But tenants can then increase as required.

Why is this little thing so expensive? 118 quid for just one? Does that mean if I have an HMO with 8 rooms (which I do), I'm looking at nearly a grand? If so, it's going to take a long time to get your money back.

Hi Luke. You just need one timeostat for the whole property. It replaces the thermostat for the boiler. It should be placed in a communal hallway or living room. We have seen aprox 50% savings on our gas bills and they effectively pay for themselves in 3 months. If you have any questions I will happily give you a call tomorrow. :-)

It replaces your boilers thermostat. You need however many of those you have, which is generally 1.
