8:29 Cover the floor below it with a PVC backed drop cloth, a sheet of plastic, or if it small enough, open an umbrella under it, with the handle pointing upwards. Shut off the light. Spray your chandelier with Sparkle Plenty/Windex/One part distilled white vinegar and three parts distilled water. Distilled leaves no spots. If you have a chandelier with cupped areas, you will need to blot them dry.

I guess I'm unfashionable - I still buy books to read them (and then pass them on). I just can't fathom books as furniture or purely for decoration. I often wish I could have taken psychology so I'd understand the motivation behind all-white decor & furniture (where's a modern Freud when you need the answer?).
@jmi596927 күн бұрын
Simple. Failing eyesight. Older folks like yours truly choose light colours and bright lighting. I should take psychology though to understand the rationale behind modern "invisible" doors.
@MusaNana-op4ek26 күн бұрын
I fully agree with that books should be read and passed on, but unfortunately it is difficult to get rid of unwanted books these days, especially paper backs. We have a local book exchange booth, and I see how many books gather there, without ever being taken by someone, and quite often those are yesteryears bestsellers. With several copies of each of them. So if people use those unwanted copies to build a bed instead of cutting down a tree for it, I think it is useful up cycling.

The all-white IS psychological, actually. It's mentally unstimulating for a lot of people. (Which can be relaxing for some overwhelmed people.) It's also lifeless, which can (and does) make many people feel depressed and hopeless. Same goes for all the greys, beiges, and other neutrals. And we see it in architecture. "Clean lines," boxy, downright Brutalist, minimalism...they all have the same reasoning behind the push for such trends. Believe it or not... There's more to it than that and I'm not judging anyone for liking it. Just stating some facts, that's all.

10:02 I'm guessing the coil is made of light metal or something similar that holds its shape. So you can position it and the hose exactly where you want them, and they'll stay there, while the hose by itself obviously wouldn't.
@Kualinar27 күн бұрын
The coil is steel. Spring steel. It allows you to move the faucet around when washing the dishes. Mostly found in restaurants, but, may also be found in some houses.

There are some parts in this world that have minimum dust build up. I was in the U.K. 20 years back in Leicester, on Melton Road, where I spent about 6 months. I was actually surprised that my house remained clean even though it was facing the main road. Although I agree most items in this video are terrible.
