Jesus is the love of your life. The kingdom of heaven is like unto a certain king, which made a marriage for his son, And sent forth his servants to call them that were bidden to the wedding: and they would not come. ✝🌅 Again, he sent forth other servants, saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have prepared my dinner: my oxen and my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready: come unto the marriage. ✝🌅 But they made light of it, and went their ways, one to his farm, another to his merchandise: Matthew 22:2-5 ✝🌅

You know what's funny, I was telling a friend of mine the first time I saw Jordan play on tv was a game against the Celtics. And on this particular play, Jordan went up with two hands and literally put the opponents hand in the rim with the ball. I believe it was Reggie Lewis. And he had his hands on the ball as if he was blocking it. But MJ overpowered him at the rim. I was like, "Yo, what the heck!" But I have an even better story. About 20+ years ago I was at my cousin's wedding and the R&B singer Brian McKnight sung at his wedding. I was talking to Brian at the reception and he told me that he played at few days ago with MJ. And I was a huge fan back of MJ back then. He said the one thing that surprised him was how strong MJ was. He was like, "Yo, he is mad strong." That was around 1994-1995.

March Madness this year was awesome. FAU and U of M playing in the final four, and the almost chance of seeing them play each other was amazing. San Diego State getting to the final game? That is amazing. Crazy times. Fun games. Excellent play. Next year should be interesring. Those schools leveled up to recruitment mode, and less of the homegrowm talent mode. (Edit: nah, not less homegrown...just exponentiated global mode. Hopefully they do not lose too much talent in the draft for the nba. Or hopefully they do maybe.) Epic.

I caught this Bulls/Knicks game live on national TV when MJ threw down that dunk on Ewing (beginning at the 3:11 mark). Marv Albert was the announcer and when Jordan did his thing, all Albert could say, "Oh what a move by Jordan!" If you replay it, you'll see that he actually schooled three Knicks together on that single play. Years later I recall Albert saying that was perhaps the single best move he'd ever seen by any player.

Part of what made the old NBA so great was watching a team get beat in the playoffs year after year by their arch-rival until they finally get tough enough to break through, especially in the East. The Pistons got mashed repeatedly by the Celtics until they broke through. The Bulls were crushed repeatedly by the Pistons until they got tough enough to beat them. And although the Bulls-Knicks was an awesome post season ticket the Knicks couldn't get over that hump. Great times.

MJ would almost invent enemies to motivate him. He literally thrived on people who took an adversarial stance on him. Also he once said each game he treated it as if there would be at least 1 person in the crowd who came to see him and it was their first time coming to an MJ game he was a true player and leader all the way through. Friend and worst enemy to see you better and win.

Jesus is the love of your life. But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. You sprinkle in his athletic ability and it’s what makes him the goat. His determination not to lose instead of being determined to win is what fueled his greatness. That’s what sets him apart from anybody who is in the top 5 players lists of all time. I’m so glad I grew up when I did. Got to witness his goatness in real time. It was always so exciting because u never knew what you were going to see next.

My Uncle was a Die-Hard Bulls fan, and a body guard at the Chicago Art Institute; He got assigned to Jordan one day - got to eat with him and a few others, and got his autograph for me and his son, he also took me to a game that year (I was 8) and I still remember to this day, the Bulls beating the Hawks 97-90, and Jordan had 47pts, Rodman had 21 rebounds. Jordan had a breakaway dunk in the 3rd quarter that lit up the place, it was outstanding.
