His quote "You got the complexion for the protection" is so sad but true in this world. It always echoes in my mind when sh*t happens unfairly to a black person just because they are black. Colorism pisses me the f*ck off l.

“Everybody wanna be a n~~~~~ but don’t nobody wanna be a n~~~~~.” Look at the white celebs that went through a hang-with-the-blacks period to garner a wider audience. They quietly went back to their “roots” after realizing their parents were right. It was just a phase.

Lately, I've been getting into the comedy field. I was into it during the 90's, but then I just sorta faded away from it. Mr. Paul Mooney... There's something to be said about a man who's so unapologetically direct. I mean, just direct. I love it. If black folks weren't so doggon *onrey* (ornery - I just like the way my grandfather used to pronounce it😁) they could learn something from him. Anyhow, black talent is obviously a force. Our soul, flavor, passion, etcetera has been stripped from us for decades. The people are awful and the way we look isn't good enough, but our talent is golden. Interesting dynamic. As far as Ms. Okra (Oprah) is concerned, I mean... Is it a surprise? She's already stated that she wanted to be a white woman. If you constantly see her supporting white people and disregarding black Americans then... (shrugs shoulders) Earlier in her career when she came under fire for not supporting black Americans, she said that she tried to do something major in Ohio and they didn't appreciate it. She took all of her efforts and resources to Africa. If you see her involved in documentaries that further destroy black men and not white men then... That's Okra. Take it or leave it. The collective attention span is so short that folks will forget all about this in no time. I know Okra has all the money in the world and yadda, yadda, yadda, but white people still call the shots which is why you haven't seen an documentaries on the white men who've done some of the same things as black men. Mr. Mooney and folks who speak out like him will be revered after they pass. That lightbulb is gon hit different.

Today we lost a comic legend, Mr. Paul Mooney. I first heard him when I bought his album Race in 1993. I couldn’t wait for him put put out his next album Masterpiece. I believe that is the best piece of work he put out. My favorite comedians are Paul Mooney, Eddie Griffin and Bernie Mac. They keep it real about history and life. May he forever Rest In Peace.

My mom passed away February 3, 2008. I always enjoyed sending my mom flowers because I looked forward to her calling me to let me know she received 😀. Oh my how she bragged🥰about them. Here is it 2020, I feel no guilt or pain. My mom and I didn’t always agree but my mission was to make sure she 😀😃 until her last breath. The truth is the light! If he had come to grips with who he is (Black Man), he would have been better equipped to deal with that entire situation. His father was black, therefore, he is BLACK. Thinking he was some sort of white man was the wrong programming for a black man, who definitely looks black, in our society, as we "know" it to be...
@charlessanders5641
@charlessanders5641 4 жыл бұрын
His self given identity as some sort of white man, is the reason he was unable to deal with that situation, which has, and probably will continue to bother him psychologically, which will make it difficult for him to regain his psyche, and break the record for major wins. That was the reason why he was denigrated in that manner by the media, and, as noted above, it has stymied his career. They understand the power one steps into when dealing in truth, which is your power, especially when dealing with how one sees themselves in this culture. The power & strength, and help from the ancestors would have allowed him to look at that, as a misstep, but wouldn't have ruined his quest for the title as the best golfer ever. He didn't know it, and probably still doesn't know it, but he weakened himself mentally, which has made his ability to keep moving towards his goal, difficult, to say the least. A stumbling block was placed in his path, which deals solely with his identification. Yes, he has had some injuries, however, l don't believe that to be the overwhelming problem. Sports are 70% mental. He has to claim his power, and walk proudly through his life in that power... And whatever they throw at him, he will be able to handle as a (so called) black man in America (Mystery Babylon).

No matter how many coats you get or how many white buddies pat you on your back they do not see you as WHITE you are just another black guy that makes them make money!!
