Emmy nominated actor Peter Coffield tragically died of AIDS in 1983 at the age of 38. He'd just finished a TV movie that same year called "O'Malley" which was to launch his upcoming new TV series. He tragically died a few months later after finishing the movie pilot. A great talent we lost way too soon.

Actually it was filmed on location in Times Square in 1980.

Times Square has become way too damn tacky now. from what I read, this movie has very little to do with Times Square itself.
