U.S. Air Force Special Operators | PJ, TACP, CCT, SR
- Pararescuemen (also known as PJs) are United States Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) and Air Combat Command (ACC) operators tasked with recovery and medical treatment of personnel in humanitarian and combat environments.
- A United States Air Force Tactical Air Control Party, commonly abbreviated TACP, refers to an individual or team of United States Air Force Special Warfare Airmen with AFSC 1Z3X1, who are aligned with conventional, Special Operation Forces, and Tier 1 combat maneuver units to provide precision terminal attack guidance of U.S. and coalition fixed- and rotary-wing close air support aircraft, artillery, and naval gunfire; establish and maintain command and control (C2) communications; and advise ground commanders on the best use of air power.
- United States Air Force Combat Control Teams, singular Combat Controller (CCT) (AFSC 1Z2X1), are an elite American special operations force (specifically known as "special tactics operators") who specialize in all aspects of air-ground communication, including air traffic control, fire support (including fixed and rotary wing close air support), and command, control, and communications in covert, forward, or austere environments.
- Special Reconnaissance (SR)-formerly Special Operations Weather Technician or Team (SOWT)-is conducted by trained Air Force personnel assigned to Special Tactics Squadrons of the United States Air Force Special Operations Command who operate deep behind enemy lines to conduct covert direction of air and missile attacks, place remotely monitored sensors, and support other special operation units.

I find it awesome that 3 of the 4 USAF units listed are among the most highly trained units in the entire U.S. military. I expected the PJ's to have the highest wash out rate but surprisingly it's the CCT's. People/veterans often criticize the USAF for their posh lifestyle without taking into account the contributions of the branch in its entirety.

Try strengthening your other areas to include joints. Lower back is going to get worked regardless, but slowly strengthening your areas will help your lower back pain. Also try icing, stretching your hips, hydrating well, and getting adequate amounts of recovery.

@LibertysetsquareJack
@LibertysetsquareJack 3 жыл бұрын
TACP are by default attached to conventional units for conventional missions, unless the particular TACP tries for and passes a SOF TACP selection; CCT are all SOF by default, and are attached to SOF units. CCT get dive school and freefall as a standard portion of their pipeline, while TACP does not; CCT apprentice course includes demolition, small unit tactics, and other courses not in the TACP pipeline; CCTs are FAA qualified ATCs as standard, while TACPs are not; TACP primary tasking is CAS and calling indirect fires for the host unit, while the primary tasking of CCTs is airfield and/or LZ/DZ preparation and controlling of stacked aircraft tasked with landing, utilizing and/or protecting that airfield/LZ/DZ.

@@Texasmayne89 generally true, TACP works with the conventional US Army units (and sometimes the USMC) and CCTs work with the Rangers, SEALs, Green Berets, and sometimes MARSOC/Force Recon etc. Sometimes there are some (very few) TACP that go through dive school, jump school, Ranger school, etc and can he assigned to the Special Operations units and CCTs can work with conventional units.
