Believe me, many of the world's elite want to be like these professional soldiers. They're constantly training with allied partners in many parts of the continent. Much respect to them from a vet.

Best soldiers perhaps, but failed people in a society full of failed people. We need the Americans from the 1900s. Not this bunch who are like the film 'idiocracy' made into a real-life movie. Not all respect given is genuine - you never really know what the other person is thinking. Its largely faked. When the American economy ends(soon), that will be the end for the west(and perhaps even the rich ruling classes behind it who are imploding).

That kind of partisan/guerilla warfare can be so effective. General Dwight D. Eisenhower said that the work the French resistance did before D-Day was worth fifteen divisions. When I was in the army we'd read accounts of a German civilian bursting into an American command center and spraying the whole bunch with blanks after a major field problem. Us straight leg soldiers could only envy.

My uncle went in to become a green beret. I spent my childhood crawling around in the woods playing army while he would snipe us. It was infuriating as we could never see or find him and we always ended up shot dead with head shots, thinking we were close he always found his way behind us which was incredibly difficult in the washington dense woods..

Silver wings upon their chest! Green Berets are America's BEST! Seriously, no one in the military can do what a 12-man ODA team can! And I've always thought it was genius to incorporate language school as part of the training! For me, Delta ranks BELOW the Special Forces even though I can already hear them laughing about me saying that. Still, while I respect ALL of our SOF Forces, Green Berets will always be my favorite soldier!!

Army SF guys take pride in literally being quiet professional. They don’t like bragging about what they do but easy to shoot the shit with. Just sucks that green berets were known in the wrong era. They were more known during Vietnam era and during that time America was not too kind to our military. Army SF and Air Force PJs should really get more respect imo.

Every green beret on the planet is starting a podcast, writing a book, selling 'rucking' gear. You want quiet professionals? Talk to a Navy SEAL. The REAL warriors of all time.
@ctilson176Ай бұрын
Are you being sarcastic? SEAL’s are out there writing as many books and starting podcasts as any other Special Operations Forces member. Former Green Berets may be trying to sell rucks but a lot of former SEALS are creating workout plans and dubbing them “hell week”.

Interesting reading of requirement for sit ups and pushups and pull ups for green berets.. Most of the Norwegian women in Cost special forces in Norway take 15 reps and abow in pullups.. and the sit ups and push ups area of 50-60 reps I have seen. In Norway we dont have 2 mile run but 20 km (12 miles) in less 1 and 1/2 hours

They need to cut up their silhouette, this is one particular observation I’ve made about western military, the gear and the helmet is so easy to spot, I don’t think they wear all that in real world scenarios, the Israelis have come up with the “chef hat”, wearing loose clothes might help, don’t get me wrong the gear looks fantastic and is top notch but it’s too easy to get spotted, camos are not enough.
