No it wasn't. It made people laugh, though he wasn't making fun of the question. But, still we must always be vigilant, and be wary, those who are not, as we have seen in numerous sci-fi, will get eradicated by the robots. So while Sam meant to reassure people, also I think he is fooling himself, when he says "I think AI is a tool, and not a creature" You do not know, what you do not know, my friend!

@@GodofStoriesYes it was, I know about AI and ML because I am also a baby programmer, I know which data they are using in their AI. And, I can reply to Sam Altman to make that old man a great man but I will not do that. I personally don't like that old man who uses their employees and doesn't give them any credits nor respect them. Hence I will not support him. But I will give respect to the great Sam Altman and the great Elon Musk. And If those great men help and support that old man then I will not support them. I only support those who support me.

Hi Indians, I'm happy that you guys have realized the right way of existence. The best way to move forward. Hope we, Pakistanis, will realize it soon and join you and the world and compete in the right way. Instead of destructive way of competing in weapons but in arts science and technology which makes living better for humanity. Instead spreading hate through mainstream media, spreading the idea of coexistence by agreeing to disagree with different thoughts. We're Happy for You! Lots of Love and good wishes from Pakistan 🇵🇰

AI solutions could be useful when the society has progressed and handled issues like poverty, discrimination, education; when people can be mature to use their own critical thinking and reasoning. If not, it will only deepen the problems, cause further divides and spread misinformation.

Artificial Intelligence does not need to be sentient - in fact AI should be considered AL for artificial logic ….. intelligence requires emotions which AI cannot ever possess naturally… it may merge with human consciousness however emotions are limited to biological.

@a.tevetoglu3366 Жыл бұрын
It is the dumbest question of our current time. AI can not "learn to be human". Being human means to adapt to pain and the reality of death. This is due the fragility of any human's existence. AI is busy being indestructable, unlike humans. A human conciousness is equal to its body since the whole body behaves as the living storage of that individual's personal history, that is not reducable to a synthetic ability of partly copying the alleged "calculations" the nervous system completes. AI can only mimic egomaniac behavior of human beings ignoring the biological limitations of life, like narcicists believing being godlike when building concentration camps for people treated as lifestock. That is what in-humane materialist entities already prove. AI can mimic emotions, therefor also neurotic behaviour but it cannot mimic feelings. Emotions are programmable, feelings are not.

@@mahadevanraju9087 See, AI just gives what we give. I am not talking about GIGO, because AI has surpassed it. What I am really concerned about is bad thoughts by the population of the Internet. What do I mean by that? If, on an average, if people are pessimistic and narcissistic on the Internet, AI will output that only. By the way, Kurzgesagt gave a really beautiful video on Machines gaining sentience years ago.

no i think there is no difference between an ai and a human . we ourselves dont understand what human conciousness is we only understand its effects like emotions or that is uses logic. think about it i want to ask you a question lets say there are 2 boxes and inside one of them is fire and inside the other box is a thing which also burns like fire but its not fire so it has properties or same symptoms of that of fire but its not fire , and the boxes are metallic so you cant see which is which , what i want to ask is how can a person who cant see inside the boxes say which is which ? you cant and unless you dont understand how to open that box or what is inside both are equal similarly humans and robots are equal and the same thing. now dont give me that argument that we know what is inside a human its a brain yeah genius i know theres a brain but thats only a receiver we dont know why or how it actually works or why people having similar brains have different memories experiences things like that the concept of reincarnation has not been accepted cause of lack of proof but my point is there isnt any difference between the 2 robots and humans as far as their logic and ways of doing work goes since humans are also just programmed beings , programmed by an unknown entity we "think we exist" our egos is nothign but a bunch of blood carbon and electricity bundled together mate similar to a machine

Title: The Evolutionary Impact of Artificial Intelligence: A Human Perspective The advent of artificial intelligence (AI) has had a profound effect on our understanding of life, evolution, and human existence. It's clear that we are on the precipice of a significant shift in the trajectory of intelligence, but this isn't the first time technology has shaken the status quo. Our smartphones today are more powerful than the computers that facilitated the moon landing, a clear indication of the exponential growth of computational power. This has led to a shift in how we perceive and interact with technology. Previously regarded as fascinating tools, the calculators of yesterday now pale in comparison to the complex, intelligent machines of today. The rise of humanity was an event that, some might argue, randomly occurred from the animal world. It was either a natural progression or an unnatural, but inevitable, result of certain circumstances. Following this train of thought, it seems logical to conclude that some sort of succession will follow humanity. The rise of computers, specifically AI, is now challenging human knowledge. These systems have evolved from being mere tools to becoming existential threats. In essence, AI has transformed from a fascinating novelty to a power that could surpass human capabilities. Interestingly, the relationship between humans and AI can be likened to the relationship between a host and a parasite. Currently, AI systems, like obligate parasites, depend on their human hosts for energy, data, software, hardware, and more. At the same time, humans also benefit from the services provided by this AI "parasite." Over time, this parasite may evolve into a facultative parasite, capable of existing independently from any host. The question of AI producing its hardware, like computer chips, may seem far-fetched, but the possibility is not implausible. If robots can be designed to mine and manufacture their own hardware, this could shift the dependency equation dramatically. Existentialists argue that "existence precedes essence." In other words, we're born without predefined purposes or values and only create them as we live. Alongside this philosophical notion is the belief in free will. We hold responsibility for our actions, constructing our purpose and meaning in life - the will to life and power. However, this unique human ability to create and assign value is now being challenged by AI. Epistemology, the theory of knowledge, adds another layer to this philosophical debate. It positions humans uniquely in the universe. But AI, as a growing entity, threatens this uniqueness. The crux of this paradigm shift lies in the concept of replication. If a system outside the domain of cells, like a modern chip, can replicate or mimic the mitosis of cells, the human species' uniqueness will cease to exist. However, this does not necessarily spell the end for the human race. Animals coexist with humans, albeit often in a subservient role. The rapid evolution and advancement of AI certainly herald a new era. As we navigate these uncharted territories, understanding and adapting to these changes will be key to ensuring that we continue to coexist, if not thrive, alongside these burgeoning intelligences.

However ai is advanced or revolutionary ai is more of a man made not being made by superior power. But I really appreciate those who have invented it for the greater purpose. Indians do not invent things rather we use what is available and make money to buy it and we are not as intellectual as they are it is not we do not have the ability to think but we do not give ourselves a chance to give birth to invention I am very delighted for few Indians who made their mark in the list of inventors. Samir Jain actually asked about the real threat of AI. Just like how autopilot AI is taking drivers' jobs, in the same way, can a robot is able to love your girlfriend much better, so your girlfriend will sleep with the robot and forget you. Because girls are attracted to better conversation than physical and once AI hacks emotionally, then society will be, especially men will get a disastrous future. Using AUtogpt, the robot will do whatever she wants and earns more money using its girlfriend's identity and banks similar to Rajanikanth Robot movie. But Sam Altman didn't answer satisfactorily.
