Indian employees need to be smart moving forward and work only for those companies who think about their employees well being. I was watching a lot of debate shows and I saw that the top level management of a lot of companies are against it. In place like bangalore if employee stays far from office then it will take 3.5hrs of travelling then 14 hours of work total come up to 17.5 hrs. Now we are left with 6.5hrs which is not even minimum sleep hours that we afford. So following is what can happen 1. Sleep disorder 2. Unemployment 3. Hear attack for extra hours we spent in office 4. Mental pressure 5. Will see highest number of nimhans patients.they should recruit more doctor. And this list will never end.

We work 12-13 hours a day, and on top of that, we have to spend 3 hours travelling each day. It's hard to endure. We pay high taxes and don't receive much from the government because of unnecessary handouts. The government does nothing for IT workers but is always ready to take advantage of them. It's a shame that Congress does whatever they want to maintain their handouts. If companies want to increase work hours, they should also properly increase salaries accordingly, but does the government care about that? Would the government care about IT professionals if they were laid off after working for 10-15 years for a company? Let the state government implement a 14-hour workday in their offices and see the outcome.

It's not at all possible. It's injustice and inhuman. Already IT employees working more than 9 hours including overtime.. and facing mental stress physical health issues, no personal life etc etc. 14 hours? Impossible. Then many will loose or quit jobs, and more burden on the people who has no other way. Why this rule is on IT industry? First apply this rule on government industry. If they are able to work not by just in the attendance register signing, but working really. Then let them talk about it.

The IT sector jobs are very demanding and it is too draining even 9 or 10 hrs sitting infront of the system. I feel it will be very hard on the employees. Employees doing overtime on their on will is something different. This decision will have a huge impact on the well being of the employees.

Due to a back clash for the reservation in the private sector, now the IT department looking for this 14 hour daily shift make sure they have the Reservation and they don’t leave Bangalore to other States.
