This is so damn good! As Chinese is easily my favorite track across all 3 games...this makes me very happy to listen to. Like, bro, absolutely incredible piece; no joke, I almost cried. 100% does the old soundtrack justice. Dare I say it may actually be better. However, I do have one criticism; you left out my second favorite part. At the end of the original, there is a small violin bit followed by a chime and then a gong. Waited, but it didn't come.

It's better than the original, except you missed some bass notes leading up to the ninth bar (the ninth bar after the music comes in), and on the beginning of the ninth bar, you missed a couple of notes in the harmonic phrase. I used to love that particular phrase, which is why I might sound nit picky to others, but it really made the difference to me. Now to explain how I think that phrase was played lol **deep breath**- I think it's a wind instument sound (I don't know the instrument name) that's supposed to be in place of where you put the erhu in F sharp, and I believe the erhu is supposed to be the octave below in F sharp, and you missed the three (i think) E flat notes played in octaves apart, one middleish E flat, and one, one octave below, and the bass one a further octave below that. I tried the phrase on my piano, and it sounded suprisingly good. I highly doubt it's going to be changed, since the rest of the cover kicks ass, but I thought I'd say something to help, anyway.

@Cyni I just re-listened to it and it isn't nearly as strong as before. Maybe it was an issue with my headphones or the stream on my end?
@Jalbesbe3 жыл бұрын
Great job, only thing I feel is off is it's just a little too slow compared to the original especially when the original just had that perfect speed balance where it was just almost too slow but was perfectly in line.
@ScrumpletGaming4 жыл бұрын
Jose, if I may ask, how do you extend these songs the way you've been doing? I've been incredibly impressed on how you riff on certain segments, build them up, alter them, etc. For my own music, I've been trying to figure out how to do the same thing, though I'm having trouble.

Feels a bit slow compated to the OG. 10-15 BPM more would suit it.
@JosePavli5 жыл бұрын
Hello. 10-15 bpm would be way too much. The bpm through the original track is changing, I just chose to keep mine the same all the way. Just so you know, since you made a comment about it, to match the original I would have to add 2 - 4 bpm, not 10 or 15.
