I think Dan did a great job. If you guys like this , you'll probably like Jocko Wilink's podcast on Unit 731. He goes into a lot more detail on specific testing that was done. I dry heaved a bunch listening to it.

Hey Dan, don't know if you'll see this but I hope you do. You bring up America's use of Nuclear bombs and state that it is and was a tragedy in this episode multiple times, and I agree. That being said, there was a planned land invasion for the main island but after figuring out how many American men would be sent to their deaths and realizing that the army would have to fight their way through the civilians anyways, the United States opted for the nuclear option as it would shorten the way and save American lives. Also you mention the forgotten Holocaust in China but never really touched on how many people the Japanese killed in China alone. Most estimates I see number somewhere around 30 million Chinese civilians killed and some even put that number up around 50 million Chinese civilians killed.

New to your page. (Awesome btw) have you done a podcast about SR21 in Cambodia?? It's so interesting, but such a humbling place to visit.

I love that Japanese are nationalists. I am not talking about Unit 731 tho in particular, them doing this is not about nationalism, those are just not humans themselves to be even cathegorized "nationalists".

Just a heads up, he doesn't get on with the subject for the first 7 minutes. You might want to speed it up to about the 8 minute mark. Yes, this is among the worst stories I have ever heard of. All this time, I knew all too well how nasty the Nazis over in Europe were, but I just started hearing about this for the first time and I'm almost f*cking 30.

Same here. I did a lot of research on the Holocaust and knew of the experiments conducted during it but now I'm here learning about the Japanese 😳 I haven't made it through the whole episode yet. I love this guy's podcasts. Just started watching them.

Man.... where you guys been? Wanna be really grossed out, read on how they forced 100,000 women and little girls into sexual slavery. Then there's the rape of Nanking which was so bad even the Nazis were appalled. And none of this is taught in their history of WWII.

No, incorrect, the quote about being doomed to repeat history comes from Herodotus's Histories in 450 BC.
